Fiber optic filament

ran the fiber under battery and bundled them to a LED - the Current LED is too Large, 5mm. Note how it butts up against engine assembly. Have a smaller LED on order 1.5mm that will fit and lay flush with lower hull, this will help my rear quarter optics as they are a little light starved at the moment.

Looks fantastic, good job!

Ty sir :)

Hello,

nice job. Is it possible to see the "LED-End" of the fibre optics.

Also a detailed list of materials (all resistors, number of LEDs and so on?

Regards

Thats awesome. Fiberoptics is definitely better for these models, it looks like an actual light on the ship instead of just a modelling glow. The lights on a ship that size, except for the engine, would just be dots and this portrays that.

I have a fair bit of electrical knowledge but ive never brought myself to cracking open an Armada or Xwing model to light it up. Too afraid i'll snap something lol
