I'm wondering if it was enough. Beyond a few people trying it out for a few weeks after release due to novelty and testing, I don't see many people running T-65 X-Wings any more.
Skipping past the humorous thought of X-Wing pilots lining themselves up perfectly to get that shiny dome into place to take the shot, it doesn't seem as though the ability to sacrifice one upgrade to prevent one damage, hit or crit, doesn't compensate for low maneuverability.
At least in my local gaming store.
Thoughts?
