Okay guys, let's get straight to it, which target lock letters and why?
I allllways use FF, because Vader is a F Face.
Also PP... Beacause PP ![]()

II because it looks like the Roman numeral for two. I pretty much only use the double letter Target locks but I did keep all the ones from the new core set so I don't run out potentially.
On my Whisper Stele and Colzet List i go with
P on whisper
EE on Stele
S on Colzet
aka... We PEE(s) on you...
or if its a blowout we can make it PFFT
Since I tend to run mixed squadrons of Rebels I put the letter with the fighter. You know X with the X-Wing, etc..
I'm very mature when it comes to using Redline
it's either A and SS
or GG and QQ
PP. Every game.
V for Vader. I actually keep it with the ships and dials. Everything else is whatever.
Vader always gets V. Kenkirk with Palpatine gets P. Brobots get coded by their suffix.
Everything else is based on whatever pairs I can actually find in my kit.
Also, if I'm flying generics, at least one of my low-level pilots will be numbered 42.
I use double letters, because most other players I've met use singles. My favorites are GG and double-Ds. (Yes, I can be a little immature.) GG is especially fun to drop on the table right before the winning shot. FF and UU are also excellent.
Jeez...I'm so boring :-(
A, B, C etc.
If Im flying Vader I use V otherwise what ever is closest at hand
Because I'm 12 years old (mentally), DD and PP
GG cuz you know Good Game
KK Kill Kill .
X because it marks the spot.
Then J S C & L Its the first letter of my wife's to kids and my first name.
Edit
After thing about it i should use P E W....Pew Pew Pew
Edited by L0STHER0V for Vader. I actually keep it with the ships and dials. Everything else is whatever.
Even though in the movie he clearly says "I have U now".

He has U in his collection, yeah, but he never uses U the whole time... ![]()
I always save GG for the fully-modded n'dru cluster missile launch of doom.
Edited by Sabre 7OO, FF and XX because my eye sight is CRAP. When flying my IG88's I always use P & OO = POO, childish I know but I'm playing with Starwars toys, never grow up, never!
Wow, a surprising amount of potty humor here. :\
I always, ALWAYS, match up TL tokens with names. V for Vader, S for Soontir Fel, L for Luke, DD for Dash Drendar, etc.

I do the same. C, O, E, and J for my wife, my first son, my second son, and myself.
The D
GG must always be an option.
I have glued custom ID tombstones (just numbers) to the bases that i use and then made custom TLs that are numbered instead of lettered to match them.
Although, if only 1 ship can take TLs (fairly common in my imperial lists) I don't bother finding the matching TL pair.
Edited by ForgottenloreWhen I ran my 'Spread the Love' splash damage list, my target locks spelled out LOVE. I managed to have them all down on one TIE fighter during one game...
I usually match up the target lock letter with the first letter of the pilot's name. If there's a shared letter, I'll switch to last name, then finally to ship type.
If I fly a goofball list, D, I and K come out as well as B, AA, and LL (Z, too, if there's four ships).
A for an A-wing
B for a B-wing
E for an E-Wing
X for an X-Wing
Z for a Z-95
Alternatively I use double letters if my opponent uses singles, and vice vesa. This makes it easier to keep track of TLs and clear up at the end.
