Do you keep all of your tokens?

By PhantomFO, in X-Wing

I keep all of them. Might as well use all the neat little zip-lock bags that almost out number the shield tokens. If I ever need to field a 1000 point, 3 faction force I won't be short of tokens. Except for Psycho Tycho. I might be short a couple of stress tokens.

I keep them all. I have them sorted by type, and I carry a 100 point loadout of tokens in two mini Plano cases, along with 16 small pegs and 8 large pegs.

If anyone wants to send me their extra shield tokens: A friend of mine likes their shape. "They're like little gears!" was something like what she said as I was demanding that she return the ones she had run off with.

Yep. Still got em all.

I usually keep about 20 tokens of each with me while I play, the rest go into storage where I keep the extra bags, plastic boxes, and extra mission cards. I like to think that they're good giveaways for new players that only have a small collection, or if I find myself in a situation where many people would like to learn how to play and I let them use my ships.

I keep all my tokens, call me weird but I also keep the middle punch-outs of the tiles. Figured they could make good campaign markers if needed. But yes it is best to set aside or make a kit of all the tokens you need to play just about any standard game.

I keep all of mine. Cardboard wears out eventually, so having replacements is nice. Acrylics are cool, but I'm not in a hurry to 'upgrade' my game with more than the movement templates I got.

What a timely topic. Yes, I keep them all. (This appears to be a running OCD theme about people who play with minis) and I have been keeping them all in my main storage unit. However, due to clutter and the sheer number of tokens, I will be completely reorganizing my storage tackle box during the Cubs game this evening and relegating all the excess to plastic zip-lock bags for storage in old Core Set boxes.

I will probably only keep enough tokens for each little storage unit to be full. I also need to only carry unique asteroids and debris fields. It should free up a lot of space. I can't bring myself to throw them away or find other uses for them like shims or chair leg pads.

Of course I keep them, so I could (if I ever wanted/had to, with the latter being the more likely scenario) sell my collection piece by piece for a better price.

Hey man you never know how many focus tokens you're gonna' need if you're playing Kyle.

I use a d20 For Kyle or Tycho

I keep all off my tokens I put them in empty plano cases because one day I will run everything in one big game of games

Everything since Wave 4 has gone straight into the recycling bin. Actually maybe not straight in; around Wave 5 I noticed, or thought I noticed, an improvement in the quality/density of the cardboard, so I think I swapped out some newer tokens for the older ones I'd had hoarded (and then tossed the old ones).

Ok, so now I really know Im not alone!!! I keep all the middle punchouts too!!! I just havent had a good explanation as to why tho!! LOL!

I have a stupid-big collection.

I keep an unnecessary amount of tokens in my Plano storage, and stored the rest in empty core set boxes.

Starting with Wave 7, though, I've started throwing out the redundant stuff.

Because ****.

It causes my OCD to spasm uncontrollably, but I fight through it.

And take out the recycling right away.

But only after checking fifteen times to make sure I'm not throwing away something that I might be able to use.

And then I check a few more times.

And then I worry anyway.

I keep it all in case I ever need to sell. However I'm still in my orginal plano box. If I were overflowing gallon bags of just tokens it might be different.

I keep my tokens. Except the ones I win in tourneys. I throw those away.
