This is a zerg build made to go at a speed of 3 straight up to the enemy. Originally I added two tractor beams, but decided to go with X17, and HTT for maximum punishment. (I do not have wave 2 ships, this is just a build for fun
)
Strategy: The Imperial 1 is supposed to fly straight ahead, while taking the brunt of the damage with Vader closely behind. The Gladiator oddly has become a support ship early in the game giving shields to the ISD 1 for as long as it lasts. The demo can deal its own bit of damage as well, and I do not see myself ever NOT taking a demo while playing Imperials.
I like the 'idea' of Vader although very expensive, I hope that he can mitigate bad rolls, and ensure above average damage.
The weaknesses are fairly obvious as heavy bomber builds are going to love pounding these ships into dust... I also see fast small ships getting around the front arcs (MC30, CR90s, Raiders, etc) but I see wave 2 being more of a rock paper scissors game, with NO one build being superior. This is a ROCK build, and while accepting its strengths and weaknesses, I cannot wait to try this once Wave 2 hits stores ![]()
Whatcha think?
