So! After reading a couple threads on rebel small-based ship lists, I came up with something. Lately I've been playing a lot against new players and the thought of throwing autoceptors, SoontiRAC or BBBB at them just fills me with disgust already, so I thought about fielding a rebel ace list. I know they're not that great, but I've been looking for a nice rebel list that didn't involve Han, Chewie, Dash or B/Y spams.
So here's my idea:
Poe Dameron (31)
Veteran Instincts (1)
BB-8 (2)
Wedge Antilles (29)
R2-D2 (4)
Jake Farrell (24)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Proton Rockets (3)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)
Total: 100

I could drop the VI from Poe for a 1 point bid, but I kinda like the idea of PS10 3 die shot. The main thought behind this was to make them all somewhat survivable (funnily enough each ship in a totally different way) and still be able to dish out some damage to bigger ships. Yes, I know, it will never be as good as autoceptors, but I am not looking for a tournament-grade win-at-all-cost list as it is something I want to fly against fairly new-ish players with only a couple games behind their belts. I am still fighting over some choices, like the lack of munitions failsafe for Jake or the urge to grab an engine upgrade on Wedge instead (although I somewhat like the regenerating shield)... or the fact that I've put 33 points into Jake whom I believe to become slightly useless after launching prockets as I have no faith in 2 red attacks.
Another risky-lulzy idea would be this:
Jake Farrell (24)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Proton Rockets (3)
Expose (4)
Munitions Failsafe (1)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)
This way after launching prockets he's to be flown very carefully and given his low damage output, most players might ignore him until after I pop him into range 1 out of arc and bust 4 dice into something point-blank.
Again, I know it's not super-competitive, but my opponents aren't experienced enough to deal with top netlists yet and I don't want them to have a losing streak. Sure, I could just fly Biggs+Wedge+2xRookie for good ol' tutorial enemy scenario, but mixed lists like mine are better at teaching them how to react to more varied composition.
So, what do you guys think? ![]()
