What fan-supplements do you think we'll need early?

What fan-supplements do you think we'll need early?

* Expanded Equipment list

* spell conversions

* weapon variants (for "hand weapon")

* "favorite-career-not-to-appear" write-up

Thoughts?

The answer on this one is almost always self-evident: adventures .

When the basic set comes out, it always takes a while for the adventures to follow, so there will be an immediate demand as soon as the rules come out.

A conversion kit.

There are a ton of Adventures for the other two editions, as well as existing campaigns that could be slid over to the new rules.

Monster races. I want to play greenskin.

I'd have to agree with 'Adventures'. I'm working on one now, a conversion of a Fantasy Grounds II adventure I wrote called "Chance Encounter". It's city based adventure.

I also think an expanded character sheet with more room and more items (like a place for Career Cards, the Party Card, Action and Talent cards, Wound Cards, and the Stance Tracker) would be great.

Careers and adventures I think. Many would like to play some of their old favourite careers. Depending on the beastiary size we would pobably need that too...

And after all I think Jay owes us a session demo video gran_risa.gif

Custom Charactersheets - hopefully by someone like Mr. Gone but I don't know if he does Warhammer.

A good adventure compendium (something along what Plundered Vaults was for WFRP2) and a good campaign box...If FFG manages to publish interesting adventures/campaign that get people interested, then they'll be able to sell all kind of extra rules and supplements...

I'm quite convinced that good adventures is what makes RPGs a success... The best example is D&D, never the best mechanics and still the RPG leader, probably because so many interesting adventures were published for it in its day.

Have we heard anything about any 3E adventures being put out?

The Core Set contains an adventure, rumours say that it is Goblins vs. a StageCoach.

Also a full campaign is being written the working title is Project Thunderbolt (possibly a Storm of Chaos reference), it is currently being "playtested" by Jay Little and other FFG staff during their lunchbreaks.

oo that sounds cool!! really cant wait to get my nerdy mits on this game!

i'm hoping FFG has conversion guidelines for previous editions. If not someone plz make them.

Adventures are a must. And explorations of locations that will probally never see print by FFG, ex: Nippon, Norsca, Southlands, etc. gnomes and FIMIR :)

I would like to see a city sourcebook, maybe with an elaborate coloured location map, and some interior maps of important sites and buildings. Hey even throw in a complete schematics of the sewers babeo.gif

Nothing does it for me like a good city to let my players have a blast and weave interesting stories arround. Marienburg -sold down the River, is perhaps the best city-sourcebook for WFRP.

Even better, why not let FFG produce a whole series of Strange & Dark City-sourcebooks babeo.gif . there`s a bunch of unusual and strange cities in the old world that deserves attention, the skaven haunted Miragliano, to the zombie infested Mousillion, and the chaos cursed Praag. And make them complete with different power factions, guilds, secret societies, and interesting NPCs and encounter tables.

I know that most of these cities have been mentioned in different sourcebooks, but none have been embellished or so detailed as Middenheim, Marienburg, or Kreutzhofen (just to mention a few). And that is what I want.

I want the smell, sound and feel of a real city, bustling with activities, peculiar inns (like the Pelican`s nest in marienburg), with excentric innkeepers, colourful clienteel. Weird nobles and haunted mansions, and strange emporiums, to brutal thugs and gangs of the dockworkers, give me the schemes of merchant houses, the drowned stranger and whispers of seedy taverns.

Give me a city and I will give you a story unlike anything else.

A Mordheim supplement would also be nice in the Strange& Dark-City series.

I would love to see Mordheim and Praag get the treatment. I've ran campaign segments in both and they were very memorable. My players still talk about Praag.

As the Empire humans are all from Reikland, a city supplement, plus adventure, from Altdorf would make sense. However they could do a much more complete and detailed job, if they started smaller with somewhere like Ubersreik. It is in Reikland and close, I think to Karak Azgaraz.

As for the careers, I think they have covered the spectrum pretty well. Begger and student are the only ones I miss.

I'm not seeing a lot of advanced careers in the list. Perhaps there will be an 'Advanced Careers' supplement.

Excellent choices. There is a lovely map of Praag in Realm of the Ice-Queen (2nd edition), but the city deserves more than the 9 pages it was given in RoftIQ. I`d run a short campaign in Mousillion, which my players enjoyed tremendously, even when they where bossed arround by the unseen powers of that city.

Mordheim would do best if it included an alternative timeline setting. Like when Mordheim was at its peak, right before the comet strike. When the Black Emperor and chaos cultists openly ruled the city.

and Oh, if alternative timeline sourcebooks where to be made, make one about the Dragon Emperors or the Drachwald dynasty. Its rise and fall, for me the forrest of Drachwald contains some dark and obscure history of the Empire, the ruins of the lost capital province, etc. It won`t happen but I guy can always dream can`t he? babeo.gif

yeah that would be some juicy stull lol and BTW Mal...let me know what your youtube name is so that i can look for ya : )

Don`t have a youtube name yet... But I will give notice to you once I have done so serio.gif

It sounds like the Promo scenario is only about an hour long. We're going to need more scenarios.

jh

My limited imagination demands that more scenarios be published for me to run.

Hopefully a whole series of linked adventures that form a campaign, like the Enemy Within or Paths of the Damned, for those of us who don't have the time to reate our own. Also I hope FFG will have a scenario competition up and running by next summer, because the Black Industries ones were great.

I think if they really want this to take off, they'll announce a scenario contest IMMEDIATELY. Waiting till summer will completely miss the momentum.
