Have 24 points to spend on rebels to finish off a list with poe and 3 talas what do people think is best:
2 × bandits
1 x green squad, chardan, ptl, wired, autothrusters,
1 x Blue squad novice

B-wing Blue squadron with FCS.
Gives reliable DPS, is tough enough. Is a real threat.

Edit: Ninjaed!
Darious beat me to the Blue Squad FCS.
Outside the box, maybe Cracken and missiles for the Z's?
TLT Gold Squadron is also worth considering.
Is there a reason for all of the Talas besides Predator and TLTs? If you could spare to drop at least one down to a Bandit, you could fit Tarn+R7 + IA (when it releases).
Warthog Gold with an R2 Astromech.
Lone Ion>Lone TLT in my book.

These reasons plus i want to fly at least 5 ships for my next tourney
Gold with tlt will gel better with your squad, I think.
Cracken + VI + Cluster or Concussion missile (depends on how brave you feel, I'd go with concussion though because of range)
2 bandits
B-Wing + FCS
One of these. I think Cracken should do good with Poe, especially for those rare moments when you were blocked and couldn't get a focus on Poe.
Edited by WretchI've been running Poe + generics and one that's really shining is 4 Prototypes + Chardaan.
I've also run 5 Bandits, but I've seen them dusted too easily. The extra evade feels like it offsets the loss of one ship. I don't like PS1, but they make great blockers.
The gimmick is they swarm onto the lowest agility target and at range 1 they pound on things. If there are higher agility ships, Poe is usually necessary to punch through. If that doesn't work the As can slash and dash for the cheese, outrunning pretty much everyone.
Edited by SkargothCould drop wired to get Tarn with an R7 Astro for flavor, but yeah most competitive 24 point rebel ship is the FCS B-Wing
Rebel Operative with TLT and Tactician for area control? Strictly speaking not the super best option, but an underused control piece. Alternatively, Rookie Pilot plus R3-A2 and Integrated Astro for 23 (though not quite yet I guess).
But if you don't feel the need for Control then the B-wing with FCS is a good bet.
Technically, I think the most efficient options would either be the Blue Sq Pilot with FCS or two Bandits. It really depends on whether you think a Blue is worth two Zs, and that may depend a lot on your play style.
Personally, I'll always go with the B.
Initiative! And Chutzpah!
Rebel operative, tlt, tactician. Stresshog light.
Clearly the answer is Red Squadron Pilot with an R2 Astromech
Rebel operative, tlt, tactician. Stresshog light.
This thing drives me nuts, I want it in my Worlds list but it is so inconsistent.
For 24 points I'm always a fan of btla4 y wings with ion turret and an extra point for initiative bid. 24 is a great spot for rebels right now. Sooo many options

Where are the other 6 points spent, on Poe for PTL + an R2 unit or on the talas?
If you have PTL on Poe, I would consider flying a Grey Squadron + R2-D6 + Wingman by his side.
You end up with 99 points and possibly initiative

ONE is inconsistent... but I also find that it is excellent as Roark or as a partner with the stresshog.
With three Talas, I'd be inclined towards a B-wing with FCS to get a second high-accuracy gun on the table, for punching through high agility targets.
Another option would be a Y-wing with TLT, or a Y-wing with an Ion Cannon + BTL-A4, but the former tends to work better with en masse firepower, and the latter preys on the same low agility stuff the Talas prefer to shoot at too.
Once Wave 8 is out, a Rookie + R3-A2 + IA would be an excellent pick, and leave you with a point to spare to boot... that's either an initiative bid, or a Tracer Missile on one of the Talas. ![]()
Another option that could make movement easier in conjunction with your Talas could be a Green Squadron Pilot w/ PTL, Wired, and Autothrusters (+Chardaan & Prototype Veteran) for 23pts. It's actually pretty good on firepower, annoying to kill, and would move simultaneous with your Talas - Against elites it can be a great little blocker & harrier; against PS 1 & 2 generics (Hello, TLTs, BBBBZ, and TIE Swarms!) it can fill the role of an outright ace. PS3 can be hilarious like that. ![]()
I know this is about the 24 points, but seeing the list in the OP I have to say this. I've been running Poe + 5 Bandits for a few weeks and it is nasty.
Poe takes LW, R5-P9, AT and point total is 98. Bandits run a great screen and hold their own. So more Zs is one option.
The second is shaving a point somehow and taking Tarn Mison + R7. He can fly in formation behind the Zs, but his PS helps against Predator. Two X closers seems cool and thematic.
Could also squeeze in another Green Squadron Pilot with Chardaan, PTL, Crackshot, A-Wing Test Pilot and Autothrusters.
