What I liked about the Defender lovers unite thread was that we also didn't just fix the Defender, cuz that's really annoying talk. Everyone wants their fix to be the fix. We also know FFG is going to make one soon.

What they did in that thread was give the very very best of their Defender builds, and we got to see them all. I got a serious kick out of playing one tonight. Can we do that??

While I understand the desire for that conversation and approve it totally over 90% of the discussion across 5 pages so far on the E-wing have been about ideas on how to fix it. I'd recommend making a "E-wing (not how to fix it) Discussion thread", you'll have more takers.

My take on the E-wing Fix:

All Astromech droids which have a name starting with R (Just like tie only) and 2 points or less, now count as 0 squad points.

This is a simple fix, which helps the E-wing alot. It doesn't work on the big droids, since they are more than 2 points, so really has minimal effect or Corran and Etan. Plus the Starting with R keeps them from being allow to take TFA droids, like bb-8 for free.

Title and Modification (If the emperor can take 2 crew, why can't this take a modification and title?)

There are many times in books where ion cannons are referenced on E-wings. So with this you make them 1 point cheaper and added a cannon upgrade. While using a Modification and Title.
