3 b-wing build?

By aelith, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So this is the list i was wondering if it may work or not, tell me your thoughts since i love b-wings ^

Keyan Farlander - Stay on target - Advanced sensors

Nera Dantels - Plasma torpedos - Extra munitions

Nien Numb - Mangler Cannon

I don't think it is very competitive, but it can be fun. I think it is missing some synergy between the ships.

And only one green dice per ship, is going to hurt ... A LOT!

If you love Bs there are a few other builds I've seen in tournaments. 4 Blue Squadron with a Z-95 as a swarm build. Or you could do 4 Blues with advanced sensors, making it so that they can take their actions first and still bump.

Here are a few ideas:

Ten Numb (Mangler Cannon)

Keyan Farlander (Stay on Target)

Ibtisam (Push the Limit, Advanced Sensors)

100 points

Dagger (Ion Cannon, Fire-Control System, E2 title, Gunner)

Dagger (Fire-Control System, E2 title, Gunner) x 2

99 points

Blue (Ion Cannon, Fire-Control System, E2 title, Gunner) x 3

99 points

I remember a build I flew awhile ago with 3x Bs...the trick is making each one of them a threat to throw your opponent's target priority off.

Ten Numb: Mangler, VI

Nera Dantles: Flechette Torps, Munitions Failsafe, Deadeye

Blue Squad Pilot: HLC, FCS, BW/E2, Jan Ors

How about:

Dagger Squadron Pilot (24)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Dagger Squadron Pilot (24)
Fire-Control System (2)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Ten Numb (31)
Veteran Instincts (1)
"Mangler" Cannon (4)
Total: 100
Should be able to destroy TLT ships and even have a fighting chance against Soontir and the like.

Named and upgraded Bs are not really worth it, especially if you've got more than one. If you absolutely have to do it, take keyan with stay on target/sensors/dash/e2/hlc, two blues and a bandit.

It's still worse than just having four blues with accuracy corrector or advanced sensors. Some very experienced players will tell you that 3 blues are doable. Keep in mind that two red flashlights attached to a metal stick are a deadly weapon in the hands of a professional.

I always thought that 3Bs were a little weak. My preferred build was 4 Bs with FCS or AS. Or a mix of both. Kind of nice having an extra 8 HP and a 3 dice attack.

Being of a Mon Cal design I feel ok saying this of 3B lists from a competitive stand point;

"It's a Trap!"

I find that realistically, a 4th B is almost always a better option.

Also this:

Blue Squadron Pilot x 3

Luke (Lone Wolf, R5-P9)

99 points

with the strength/efficiency of most turrets atm, I honestly think that one Bwing should be replaced by something with bigger gun or some way to replenish Shields or hull.

My account is still being verified so this will most likely pop up being irrelevant to the conversation....

What do you think about?

Keyan + AS + SoT

Ibitsam + AS + PTL

Blue + FCS + E2 + Gunner

Did you call it: Three B, Oh?

if you are going to a power B wing list look at "Ten Numb with VI" aka ten at 10 (as posted above)
