I started painting my ISD, and I'm running into trouble with the engines. I was able to pry them off of the VSD, but I am having trouble doing it to the ISD. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't have an airbrush kit, I'm just using brushes.

I left them on the ISD this time. If you are using a brush I am curious as to why you would pull them off?

Why are you taking them off? Most folks do not dissamble there ship. Heck just adding a gloss coat to the inside makes them look better

Sorry, I should have clarified. I'm painting my ISD black, and it's hard to get into the nooks and crannies near the engine.

paint the interior white. let dry. mix light blue with water. Wash the inside from the top of the "bowl" to the bottom with the mixture. stand the model up so it looks like \/ . Meaning excess paint sits in the bottom of the bowl. Play a round or 2 of HotS. Once dry do the same with white. Mix with water, wash, set in \/ (i put my ISD in a mug nose first and kept it straight with some paint bottles.) Let dry. I will post some pics of my engines when I get home. This is how i did my second GSD and my ISD and I plan to go back do my other GSD and VSDs are is looks better than what i did before.

Nice visual cano you got there.

dark a medium grey, do a which dry brush ink black and the details and stuff will pop a bit more but it looks solid. put some watered down black in the recesses of the other colors too to get some more detail
