Question "Predator & Prey" Mission

By kata, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

A question about movement of the crate. The way I count it, there are 11 squares movement to the extraction point. If the Imperial player spends 2 threat, they get an extra move of the crate.

Unless I am seeing it wrong, escorting the crate or not, how is it possible to stop the crate if I spend the threat. Even at Threat Level 2, I can spend it each round and get the crate to the point.

What are we missing?

Summary: You're counting the spaces wrong, and the threat level does not matter. Click spoiler for details on why.

Spoilers Inside! Rebel players who look at this spoiler are filthy cheaters who will be hunted down by the finest bounty hunters our credits can muster.

You might be missing the walls (in orange). If you look at the map closely, you will see there are walls on the edges of the tiles.

Additonally, you may only gain the "Extra Effort" once per advancement of cargo. You cannot use the threat based movement of cargo more than once per "Extra Effort" trigger, as denoted by the ►.

The shortest path is 16 spaces, not 11.

I have marked the two spaces you used to get a space count of 11 with blue stars * . These are illegal moves.

Remember, you cannot cut the corner of two red spaces or a red space and a wall or "off" the board.

Behold, the power of Fizzgrid™.

Hey Fizz, just a small correction if I may:

The shortest path is 15 , no? You ignored a column to the right that allows for a shorter path, I believe.

So it is! I knew I should have mapped out the whole thing.

@dancorsi: POINTS!

One thing I'd like clarified is the movement of the crate. I read it as move squares which menas it would ignore all figures on the board and movement penalties. is that right? for example can you stop on an occupied square as it's neutral
