Really unfortunate people with tickets that can't go, can't transfer them. However, regardless of state laws allowing for ticket re-sales, I'm glad that in the future I won't have to buy them off of some other ticket re-seller for grossly inflated prices after he/she uses some software to quickly purchase all the tickets.

I just hope that tickets were not purchased like that in hopes for the capacity to transfer them

I would hope that this wasn't ever the case, and I understand FFG's caution in this regard.

It does suck, though. Maybe if people weren't douches then this wouldn't be a problem. But that's not really in the scope of this thread, lol.

I'm going to call them to see if they are going to allow in-person registration for any unfilled spots or something, I know a couple of people who missed their chance to buy tickets, and rubbing their faces in my triumph is getting old!
