I completely forgot that the expansions always have new cards and didn't order a victory star destroyer expansion. I realize, at this point that I've probably already answered my own question.

What are the big cards I'm missing out on by not having the victory star destroyer expansion?

^ The Armada Wiki page is great for this sort of info. I mainly run Rebs but I've seen Imp players use the included upgrades in squad-heavy lists. Not sure how many people will have 2 Vics in their lists once Wave 2 hits though.

Admiral Motti, Flight Controllers and Ion Cannons, plus Warlord and Corruptor titles.

Don't feel stupid it's a good question.

Flight controllers / Expanded Hangar Bays really makes TIE fighters good, and as such is an essential card. Ion cannons is also pretty sweet.

Having 2 VSDs is also a good idea, they are the bread and butter of imperial lists for now. You can get away with one GSD, ISD and raider but the VSDs are where the heart of the list is.

You really can't go wrong with one warlord/H9 turbo laser VSD and one built up as a carrier with the cards you get in the VSD expansion.
