Imperial Player: What do you put in your Agenda Deck?

By thePREdiger, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Wanted to ask my fellow Imperials which Agendas do you chose for your deck?

The 2 I have been always adding are:

The set with Imperial Informants (Agents of the Empire?)

Dark Obsession (Mostly for the -5 threat card)

The 2 villians I like the best are the Royal Guard Champion and Kayn Somos (Their cost is devisible by 5, which makes them easier to get out in the last stages of the campaign). Tho I sometimes switch these out depending on the class deck.

The final 2 depends on my class decks. I like focusing on troopers if I have Military Might, droids if I have tech superiority (although I use a diverse mix for TS), hunters if I have subversive tactics, and leaders if I have inspiring leadership.

Imperial. Industry.

The side mission for Means of Production. For my Influence, there is no better Imperial reward card in the game. A single attachment that gives an entire unit:

~ : After the attack resolves, gain 2 movement points.

~ : Recover 2h.
~ : +1h
~ : Stun

It's that last one that is the Rebel Mission killer. Stick this card on a group of 3 Elite Troopers, (or even regular troopers really), and you start depriving Rebel actions left and right. Each of the three original class decks has some method for adding surges to attacks. With those and Royal Guards on the field, it's quite possible to stun every Hero. With only one action available to them a round, they can spend that action shooting but not really moving and watch the Round Counter tick on by, or they can spend that action moving but not shooting and watch them get overwhelmed by figures.

Seriously, if I'm playing against Rebel players where I actually want to win, the Imperial Industry agenda cards go in, and I save my first three Influence for Means of Production and I do not spend it except for that card.

I agree, Means of Production is good but the mission itself is pretty easy for the Rebels. So slapping it down whenever doesn't really get you anywhere.

It is? I've only played it twice and won it pretty easily both times as the Imperial player. In fact, my table group I think has only won this once as the Rebels. We thought it was pretty weighted towards the Empire, especially if Gaarkhan isn't with them. Or Luke.

As the Imperial player, I hate Luke. ... though that's another topic.

High value target is pretty cool to have on the table.

im playing a campaign at the moment with Kayn and boba's agendas. will see how it goes.

Class: Subversive Tactics. It doesn't matter what abilities your rebels get when they don't have the Endurance to use them.

Agenda Sets:

Crimson Empire

Retaliation

Imperial Discipline

Imperial Industry

2x of personal preference

I always take those 4. They have some of the best 2-influence deplete to use cards, and as discussed earlier, the Imperial Industry reward card is always worth 3 influence. Retaliation side mission is great too.

My two personal favorites are ISB (Imperial Security Bureau) and Agents of the Empire, which let me get a bunch of free stormtroopers and Imperial officers, that are a. Buffed or b. free. The one that provides a free Officer at the beginning of each mission (Supervisory Officer, I think?) is a lifesaver for me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the officer isn't 'free' so to speak. It is only added to your hand as an extra open group. You don't get to deploy him without spending threat like normal.
