I've volunteered to be the TO at the next official tournament at my FLGS so I though I'd post something on here for the UK players.

The last few events have been a big success with a great mix of local and out of town players, and a fantastic atmosphere of fun and good sportsmanship.

To date our biggest event has hosted about 28 players, but we've made extra space in the store and are hoping for 32 this time. If there is sufficient demand we can even go to 40 players - but we'll have to hire the church hall across the road for that.

The ethos of the Store owner has been to create large, fun, competitive environments, and encourage players from a little further afield to come along to test the mettle of the locals - not to try to make money out of the event - so we're only charging a fiver for entry.

BTW Jay - I posted this in the BBG threat that you also replied to - I'll post it here too in case you missed it.

Don't worry if you can't make this one Jay - Entoyment hosts 3-4 official x-wing tournaments per year - and there's always room for a couple of unofficial ones if there's enough demand.

If you just fancy a game from time to time, Poole Gaming society meet there every Tuesday evening from 6pm (non members welcome) and Entoyment hosts its own game night every Thursday, also from 6pm.
There's usually between 4 and 10 X-Wingers there on any given evening

If you're into Epic, I try to host Epic solo and team games every other Saturday (work and life commitments allowing) starting around 10am (ish) - next one isn't until 7th of November though.

If you use facebook, contact the shop via email with your facebook details and they'll add you to the shop's gaming group - you can use that to keep informed on upcoming tourneys and events, and just to find gaming partners for in-store or out-store games.

Just giving this a quick bump as the date is fast approaching.

We're currently at 17 confirmed, and another 6-8 "definitely-maybes" - so there's still spaces remaining.
