Ordered main set through Amazon UK cant wait
Pre-ordered!
Pre-ordered Core and Adventurer's Kit from Amazon over a month ago (10/18).
My estimated ship date is 12/4.
I'm just hoping that they honor pre-orders by the date that they were placed. I read some horror stories about a videogame pre-order (Dragon Age, I believe) where they filled the orders alphabetically according to the poster. I take that with a grain of salt, but apparently he could walk around Gamespot and Toys R Us and see the game everywhere - but he still couldn't get a firm ship date from Amazon.
Here's to hoping the experience is a good one... I really don't NEED the game it until late December when I head out to Arizona to play it with some buddies...but I'd like to get it around the shipping date so I can read it and run a test game or two...

I'm wondering how accurate Amazons esimated delivery date of 12/2 is. On the one hand, FFG still lists this as "at the printer". On the other hand, even though The Emperor's Decree is being billed as a pre-release event, I can't imagine that FFG would want too much time to elapse between the event and the game being available for sale. You want the product available while people are still excited about if from the demo. If too much time elapses, their enthusiasm potentially wanes and/or they get distracted by/spend their money on something else. Certainly they need to get this out in time to have it available during the Christmas shopping season. I'm surprised FFG hasn't given us a more definative release date yet.
Actually FFG has the Core set listed as shipping: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=942
The Adventurer's Kit is still listed as "on the boat".
The dice, oddly enough, are listed as "at the printer". I would have thought that they'd be the easiest thing to mass-produce, package and ship. There's no binding, no offset printing, minimal packaging (AFAIK)... but then again, they're running a successful biz - and I'm not
Amazon preorders: Not an expert, but I think another thing to consider is the shipping option you chose. I'm pretty sure if you take the free shipping option your pre-order drops below any pre-orders that chose the other shipping options.
I always chose the free shipping and have only had issues of long delays on a pre-order once.
I just have to add that I pre-ordered the RT book from Amazon, fairly early too. Amazon got backordered and my estimated delivery date got pushed back 2 weeks later than people who pre-ordered after I did. In fact, my pre-order was estimated to ship 2 weeks after I walked into my FLGS and grabbed a copy off the shelf. So, yeah, I will buy stuff from Amazon, but not anything that is a pre-order or that I'm desiring to get close to the release date.
I preordered from Amazon and hope that my order doesn't get pushed back. I guess even if it does I don't really mind waiting a few weeks more instead of paying full price at a LGS.
Yeah Rogue Trader, on Amazon.ca, takes 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
I'm supposed to get mine halfway through December. GOsh. At least WFRP is supposed to be in stores before then...

Thinking of pre-ordering from Amazon since they have it for a low price and the dollar is weak.
Does anyone have experience of ordering boxed sets from Amazon to Europe (Sweden)? Don't wanna get screwed by them...
I did on occasion. It takes a while to arrive and sometimes customs wants a peak at the packet (in germany) but so far no problems.
Maelstrom has raised price to $106 (from about $65!) and Amazon don't delivers to Russia (except for pricey Priority Courier Shipping)

Had you already pre-ordered from Maelstrom? If so I am pretty sure the price you pre-ordered at is the price you pay. I know Amazon's pre-order deal is if the price lowers any time between when you order and the ship date they will refund you the difference.
I just pre-ordered mine from Amazon as well. This is the first Warhammer-related product I've purchased in a long, long time (this decade?). If FFG's plan was to bring ex-roleplayer's back into the fold, they succeeded with me.
I considered getting the Adventurer's kit too, but I'm going to hold off for a month or so. Opening both the kit and the core set on the same day might cause me to go into a WFRP-induced coma.
Have my pre-order in as well - expected delivery is Dec 01...hopefully...

I have pre-ordered mine from Maelstrom Games in uk. money is allready detucted from my account.
it costed me about 163 $ including freight. And I ordered one copy of each product to warhammer.
Is that a reasonable price?
