Ringer List for Escalation Tourney

Next Month I'll be running a charity escalation tourney in my area. I'm looking at running the list below, and I'm looking for unique feedback.

GOALS:

  1. Fast games, win or lose
  2. Relatively few ships so that I can save brainpower for actually running the tourney.

Does this list fit with my goals? Keep in mind... I'm not trying to win the tourney (poor form... winning my own event).

Blaster turrets on both Y wings don't get me wrong I love TLT...just not on two ships

What are you starting with and what are you adding?

Blaster turrets kind of suck. They can be okay if you take the Agromech but they are too dependent on always having your actions available.

Engine on kavil. Would be focusing most the time. I'd use points for bombs or better ept.

If your goal is quick games win or lose, I think that multiple TLTs are counter productive. The more TLTs a game has, the slower the game is going to be (unless one player does something rash).

You should be looking at quick, less durable ships. What you need are HLC Scyks.

Tansaari Point Vets with Predator and HLC are exactly what you are looking for (I can't believe I just wrote that). At 29 points they make escalating easy. They will either kill things stupid fast or die spectacularly.

Round 1 - 2x TPV w/Predator and HLC (58/60)

Round 2 - add Serissu w/Predator and HLC (90/90)

Round 3 - add a 3rd TPV w/Predator and HLC (119/120)

Round 4 - add a 4th TPV w/Predator and HLC (148/150)

At the end you are throwing 20 red dice at range 3 and have 15 health total in your squad. Games will likely be decided in the first exchange or two.

LOL... Scyks would be one way to go. Your list would indeed be quick to play, but contains exactly 4 more Scyks than I own or intend to buy.

The point is well taken on Kavil... engine upgrade is wasted on a ship that will be focusing every turn.

Yeah... TLT's on the 2 Y's is a lot of hull points and a lot of slow, concistant damage. What to replace the Y-Wings with given that I don't own any Scyks?
