Clear Attack & Defense dice no more?

I know that the dice for topping at a regionals (I think) now have a shiny marbled look to them & yes they are nice, but I've always loved the look of the clear red & green ones.

Will they ever be in future kits again?

Or have I missed out on my chance of actually earning them, leaving me forever stuck having to do without or trade/buy some from a previous winner?

Sounds about right. FFG has the freedom to do whatever they like.

They also gave out a set of clear dice to the top 16 (or was it top 8) at worlds last year... so, you never know.

I'll admit the one thing about Attack Wing I liked more than XWMG.

The DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE oh my GOD I loved that marbled look! SO FREAKIN' COOL!

It was top 32 if I remember, since top 16 got frosty shield tokens.

If you really REALLY want clear dice and don't mind that they are "official tournament illegal", you can pick up some from the people that kickstartered them in the US. I think it was $15/6 dice. I bought a bunch, they're really neat for those that didn't win a set or don't want to fork out $100 for a set.

I have 24 of these (12 red, 12 green) and I really like them. The only quibble I have -- and it's really a very, very tiny quibble -- is that the Evade can look like a Focus on first glance; and that on a small fraction of the dice, the white "fill" on a Hit is slightly lighter, causing an "Is that a Crit?" double-take. In both cases, the confusion is only for a split-second.
