Accuracy Corrector (3)
"Mangler" Cannon (4)

Edited by WretchRemember Accuracy cannot be modified after being used.
Nope, after you use AC you cannot further modify dice. Use Fcs instead....
I think a better combo would be an autoblaster with AC on him. Yes it's range 1, but you will ALWAYS get atleast 2 hits there.

That completely ignores his pilot ability, though.
And is 8 points of fairly bad upgrade for a B-Wing.
Ten + Mangler is fun.
Ten + Calculation + Ion Cannon is fun.

That is devious.

Yarp.
Pity he can't fly with Dace.
I had never thought of the "Ten + Calculation + Ion Cannon" combo That is evil! I love it!
Ten. Plus mangler. Plus advanced sensors. Veteran instincts. Ooooo what fun.

Ten+Calculation+Ion Cannon is EVIL. Pure evil. My buddy has been flying it lately and it's infuriating. Good clean fun, but infuriating. ![]()
Question, Ten Numbs ability says: "When attacking, 1 of your <Crit> results cannot be cancelled by defense dice."
Why does Ion Cannon help? Ion Cannon's dice cancellation is not "Defense Dice."
EDIT: Wait, I got it. Ten Numb makes sure Ion Cannon hits, unless the enemy has an Evade token. That's cute.
Edited by StarshiphThe ion cannon doesn't help, he helps the ion cannon.
If he uses an ion cannon and has a way to get a guaranteed crit result (like using Calculation), then there is no way to stop the ion effect going through. Instant damage and ion token.

Even an evade token doesn't help. In the newest set of rules, an evade token adds an [evade] result just as if you'd rolled it on a die--which means it can't be used to cancel Ten's crit.
I don't think Ten helps the ion cannon because the card read receives 1 damage not receives 1 hit, there is no "boom" to change with calculation.
"If this attack hits, the defender suffers 1 damage and receives 1 ion token. Then cancel all dice results."
Edited by WretchThere is, as Calculation changes a focus roll to a crit (which then because of Ten cannot be cancelled) before any of the ion effects.
We arn't saying he makes the ion damage a crit, we're saying he makes the ion shot impossible to evade, and so is basically as if Lt. Blount was shooting (always counts as if he hit)
Which means auto-ion on any ship he fires at, which rocks!
Same with the Mangler Cannon. Ten would always hit with it, and therefore always get (at least) a crit through.

got it
There's not too many ways to get guaranteed damage in this game, but this is a good one.
Anyone know of any other sure hit combos, other than Blount?

AC and autoblasters
Doom shuttle. Feedback array. Deadman's switch.
OK so let me make sure I have this correct. Ten rolls all hits no crits no eyes defender could block it. Otherwise defender suffers normal ion cannon damage cause ion will kill the crit since it is not defender canceling it.

Yeah, if he rolls at least one crit result with an Ion Cannon, it can't be cancelled, so it's going to do Ion damage and assign a token. When you throw in Calculation, you just give yourself more chance to get that crit result.

Wouldn't the rules for the ion cannon override calculation?

Never mind. I was thinking the crit and ion effect both went thru. I got it now. And yes it is evil.
Calculation, being a dice mod, is pretty much an insurance policy here. There's nothing wrong with increasing the odds of securing that uncancelable crit. ![]()
