Has anyone seen anything on a product called (Rebel/Imperial/Scum and Villainy) Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kit? One of the distributors that my FLGS goes through has them listed in the catalog but I can't seem to find any information on them. Any help would be appreciated.
Upcoming Product Question
Haven't heard anything but might be a third party product, like greenman designs or something.
Doesn't look like it's third party. The Alliance promotion email has them listed as:

Numbering fits them right after the colored peg SKUs

LOL, the one place I didn't think to look was on the FFG website. Wow.
I hope these are just some sort of cosmetic/vanity upgrade options. No idea what is going on here. I have seen a few maneuver dials from other players that are pretty worn out so maybe replacements are a thing that people want? I don't fiddle with my dials while playing though... That sounded dirty.

This is my first assumption as well, except that it says "upgrade." To me, that indicates a change of some kind.
Could be plastic dials? Would that be better?

And it's one per faction. Maybe it's a case to enclose each section of a dial and you can label them somehow.
Dial upgrade kit?
I wonder if it brings errataed dials for ships that needs it (X-W? T/D?)
Or if it is a configurable dial (perhaps in plastic) that you can adapt to different ships. That would allow them to errata the dials in the future!
Just wishful thinking. ![]()
Yeah, I guess at $10, shouldn't expect it to be more than one or two dials in each pack. So weird.

They give 5 bases with pegs at that price point. I'd hope for enough of whatever it is to cover an average sized list.

Not as bad as Crabbok saying that he was tempted to go to the garage and play with himself though.
Cheers

The bases are MSRP of $7.95 according to CSI. Really curious what this could be to be worth two thirds of a new small ship.
It's a special Sharpie that lets you change all of your white maneuvers into green maneuvers.
Updated Defender dial, Updated Defender dial, Updated Defender dial, Updated Defender dial, Updated Defender dial...... Pleeeeaaaase let it be!
My guess would be that it's either some sort of thin colored backplate or maybe an holder similar to the command dials in Armada
Doesn't email has them

Like are they just more of the same cardboard dials or are these acrylic...

No, he just pointed to the products page which has existing SKUs. They end at the colored pegs.
People have been playing (and wearing out) their game for a while now.
FFG has finally sorted their production issues for models, so their maker dept has a little more room to breathe.
We've now got coloured stands to show for it.
I would not be at all surprised if the next step was some kind of configurable plastic/acrylic dial for those who have worn out their original cardboard. My only wonder would be just how they plan to do the dials... stickers, perhaps? Fill-out-your-own would be more rife for cheating than FFG would be comfortable with, one assumes.
The only bad thing that could possibly happen here is getting an article for them before a Wave 8 preview.
I wish my dials got enough use to be worn out, but regardless, if these are official acrylic dials I'll be buying the **** out of them the minute they go on sale.
This makes me think all those Segnor's Loops and Talon Rolls mean some older ships will be getting updates. There are agile ships that should be able to pull those off but released before the maneuvers were established.

It's an interesting assumption to make. That would mean the package is all cardboard.
I think it really has to be either new updated dials or a plastic dial casings (uses the existing cardboard to identify manuevers and ship/faction but covers them in protection).
The former likely includes updates to all the dials. The second maybe upgrades a handful of dials to plastic casings.
Is this a hoax? Please provide where you got this information.
