Dream list (Literally, help me out here).

By DariusAPB, in X-Wing

Ok, so this morning while snoozing I was dreaming, and basically building a list to play in my dream. No. Really. I am actually being deadly serious.

The list contained E'tahn Abaht(unknown layout) Tarn Mison with R7 (But nothing else, no EU)

and Garven Dries.

Can anyone fill this in and make it work? I feel I should play it, as my subconscious was clearly telling me to.

You have 17 points left. If you want to fit a Z95 I would suggest a Tala over a bandit. Maybe r5-p9 on E'tahn and crackshot

I think it is a secret message telling you to consume all that you can about Bill Murray.

Seriously.. look at the first letters: E.A.T.M.R.G.D.

That spells Eat Mr. GD

And since GD stands for Groundhog's Day, and since Bill Murray was the star of that movie,

your subconscious is telling you that you must Eat Mr Groundhog's day - which is Bill Murray. Obviously, we shouldn't take that literally (unless you're secretly a cannibal), so it must mean that you are to "figuratively" eat (i.e. consume, submerge yourself in, etc.), the entire works of Bill Murray.

Man, you're brain is just awesome. I wish I got coded messages like that.

Seems like one of those tricky builds that puts you in a points no-man's-land - too few left over to comfortably add an extra ship - but too many left over to use efficiently.

Best I can think of is this - but I don't think it's all that great.

Tarn Mison (28) X-Wing (23), R7 Astromech (2), Plasma Torpedoes (3)

Etahn A’baht (44) E-Wing (32), R5-P9 (3), Juke (2), Sensor Jammer (4), Stealth Device (3)

Garven Dreis (27) X-Wing (26), R5 Astromech (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

Yeah I came up with very similar. I'll go with that.

I don't expect I'll win.

Maybe this:

Etahn (Push the Limit, Advanced Sensors, R2-D2)

Garven (BB-8)

Tarn (R7 Astromech, Shield Upgrade)

99 points

It's a list from a dream, you don't have to win. Just play something and get over it

Don't listen to him. This is CLEARLY AN IMPORTANT SIGN.

If you don't win with that list, THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT WILL CEASE TO EXIST.

No pressure.

Save the Garven Dries, Save the world...

Are you serious? I had a very similar thing happening to me today! I was playing a list with Guri, Torkil, and Palob, though. I have a few of those in my list building folder, but I haven't gotten around to playing any yet.

Those HWKs in my hands seemed so real...

It's just waiting for Wave 8 to drop so you can throw Integrated Astromechs on those X-Wings. Garven gets an R2 so that he can ditch any stress than he gets to make sure that he doesn't lose his action more than he needs to. I gave E'tahn Advanced Sensors so that he can bump and k-turn without losing actions or barrel roll before moving to help have his arc end up where you want it and tossed a Tala in for an extra gun to take advantage of E'tahn's ability. If you drop the Tala to a bandit you can give E'tahn a 1 point droid, switch AS out for Sensor Jammer, or give him FCS and BB-8.

Tarn Mison (23)

R7 Astromech (2)

Integrated Astromech (0)

Garven Dreis (26)

R2 Astromech (1)

Integrated Astromech (0)

Etahn A'baht (32)

Advanced Sensors (3)

Tala Squadron Pilot (13)

Total: 100

I count Z-95's to get to sleep.

Seriously; I do.

Cheers

It only make sense. One Z-95, two Z-95's, three Z-95's, four Z-95's, five Z-95', six Z-95, seven Z-9, eight Z-, nine Z, Z, z z z z z z z z z .................

Huh. If you wait till Wave 8, there's some funny things you could try:

Tarn Mison (23)
R7 Astromech (2)
Integrated Astromech (0)
Etahn A'baht (32)
Juke (2)
Sensor Jammer (4)
Garven Dreis (26)
R5-D8 (3)
Integrated Astromech (0)
Total: 92 (Figure a 3pt Targeting Astromech on Ethan for 95, ish)

Ethan running Sensor Jammer, Juke, and whatever's up with the new Targeting Astromech could be really, really funny: He devours hostile Focus tokens, and then replies with crits. :)

Garven could run R2 to keep intact with IA, while Tarn will be good ol' tanky Tarn... basically, Garven hands out Focus tokens to help keep his (pretty tanky!) buddies alive.

Hm. As-is, the list sits at 95 points... so you might want to wait and see just what that supposed munitions-boosting modification is, does, and costs. If Ethan can use a Targeting Astromech to get a Target Lock, while Garven hands him a Focus and he himself Evades to trigger Juke... you might just be able to get a bona-fide ordnance shot in there.

Scary thought, isn't it? :)
