Burst Fire a Large Figure

By EchPiEl, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Is a large figure targetted by Burst Fire stunned if it receives damage? Burst Fire states that figures adjacent to the target space get stunned, and large figures are always adjacent to the target space when they're targetted by an attack, Blast even has a specific rule to prevent large figures from being damaged by it when they are the target of the attack that causes it, but i can't find anything about card effects like this.

Thank you.

Figures are never adjacent to spaces they cover with their bases. Check the RRG under "Adjacent":

Figures are not considered to be adjacent to themselfs.

Though it's not the exact wording you look for, my argument is that Blast only has an effect on figures in adjacent spaces. Since large figures can not be adjacent to themself, they can not suffer the Blast damage if they were the primary target. So it should work the same for both Blast and the stun from burst fire.
