Weenie Rush

I haven't played since the CCG. Did something happen in 1.0 that the weenie rush decks aren't encuraged with the 2.0 core or am I inpatient and have to wait for a few chapter packs?

In order to encourage people to play higher impact "named" and recognizable characters, there are a few things that feel a little different. The first is the limited economy (harder to floor the board with many cards), the second is the lack of valar (less need to reflood the board), and the third is the increased value of dupes (which are now setup and cannot be cancelled) - as well as the power of the big-name characters themselves! It also doesn't help that a lot that the big kill effect requires you to win by 5 or more STR, which weenies have trouble doing. I'm sure a more weenie-based strategy will work (in fact, I'm working on one right now), but it'll take a little more work.

And it certainly won't be rush - as there just isn't renown on anyone cheap (except Jorah). But Aggro... that's possible.

Possibly in the future though

Seems like it's pretty hard to weenie rush when there's a neutral plot that kills all but 3 minions that you always have to be wary of.
