The new Death Star: Starkiller Base

By TheRealStarkiller, in X-Wing

ITS A SPOILER!

Turn back or its too late!

Just discovered that:

http://www.starwars.com/databank/starkiller-base

So finally Disney found my secret base ...

Well, OF COURSE there must be a new imperial ... ahm ... First Order ... planet-killer weapon to reign the Galaxy through fear.

OK ... this might be a bit OT ...

Next time, name it Alderaan. They'll never find it then.

Even if it's on the Databank, please don't post spoiler material on the forums, and if you must please use the spoiler tags and please don't put it in the ****ing thread title.

Just preted that I have lied.

Too bad I can't edit the title...

Oh geez that sounds pretty dangerous.

I hope it's not the Sun Crusher...

Well, it's called "Starkiller" so that's probably exactly what it is. Only it's, you know, a planet instead of a ship.

I'd be cool with a weaponized planet.

Worse, it's Centerpoint Station.

Old news, yes?

I saw the first sentence and stopped there. Thank you for the spoiler alert.

They had a lot of military forces on that planet.. You aren't going to blow up a star with ground troops. My Ackbar sense is tingling.

IIRC, it can destroy entire star systems. At least as strong as the Sun Crusher but not quite so portable.

Someone spoiled this alre

Old news, yes?

Yes.

Another planter-killing superweapon? Third time's the charm I guess.

But now its a planet itself.

Good luck in destroying THIS with a proton torpedo ... :P

Seismic Charge down a volcanic vent that leads to the planet core.

Being JJ Abrams, the Resistance will probably use Red Matter Torpedoes....

At this point they might as well have kept the EU is they're just going to recycle tired superweapon plots.

This one isn't the size of a starfighter so it's different!

Centerpoint, Darksaber, the World Devastators, Galaxy Gun, and Eclipse-class would like to have a word with you. Starfighter-sized superweapons were a (rightly) tiny minority.

More than likely they found some left over solar system killer missiles that were ment to be used with the Sun Crusher, moded them, and now they fire them from the Star Killer base.

The operation to mode the missiles was known as Dreamcast 2 but now that they are deployed, the IMPs just call the missiles Gensis.
