No fate in the base game?

Dear all,

new Talisman player here, and loving the main game.

I'm curious as to the inclusion of the fate mechanic and its tokens/counters in the game, as I seem to have none of them in my box. Now as far as I know, I have the latest edition and the box contents should be complete.

Is fate included in an expansion? Or am I missing something in my box?

You probably have the 'black box' which is the Black Industries version. The FFG Revised version added in fate. You will need an Upgrade Pack to get fate.

You do not have the latest edition. As stated above you need the REVISED edition.
