3-Team, 3-GM version of Operation: Shadowpoint

By verdantsf, in Game Masters

Recently, my campaign tried out a 3-Team, 3-GM version of Operation: Shadowpoint, the second Age of Rebellion Beginner Game. With 8 separate event seeds, my co-GMs and I created three separate 2-hr missions that we ran simultaneously, then reconvened for a 2-hr combined finale that included mass combat.

We had to modify a few things to update the beginner game for an experienced crew, but it wasn't a hassle at all. I highly recommend this adventure, as well as the preceding one, Takeover at Whisper Base, for any Edge of the Empire crew transitioning over to Age of Rebellion!

Here's a look:

Team Ruping - Also includes the combined portions of the adventure at the beginning and end.

Team Repair & Rescue - Unfortunately, this video and the one after had some sound issues. Only the GM can be heard, but you can still get the gist of what's going on.

A big thanks to the Rebel recruits who answered the call for reinforcements and helped us defend Whisper Base! The contributions of Adosha, Aiden, and Roncas were vital to our success!

This is really interesting. I haven't seen something like this that actually came together in a long time. It occurs to me now that for the first time, my group actually has enough GMs and players to make this happen. I might look into doing something similar. Good ideas throughout, thanks for sharing!

Definitely give it a try! Btw, if you click on the 2nd link in my sig, you'll find write-ups for some of the custom 2-Team, 2-GM missions my group has run in the past :D .

That's sweet. We do a 12 man live group (13 if you count me the GM). It can get crazy sometimes with so many people. We have thought about breaking up and doing something like that, but we can't seem to break up because we like all of the combinations we have and the characters.
