Vader with Vader

By Salcor, in Star Wars: Armada

So we now have an interesting situation with Armada. Can you legally have Vader as you admiral and Vader as a squadron leader? What happens when one dies, does the other one die too?

Salcor

You can not.

The RRG goes into the '.' and Unique Names.

You can't have more than one Unique named, even if they are different upgrade types.

So if you have Darth Vader as a commande,r you CANNOT have him as a Squadron, and vice versa

EDIT: Page 13 of RRG:

Unique Names

A card’s name is unique if there is a bullet (•) to the left of the name.

• A fleet cannot contain more than one card with the same unique name, even if those cards are of different types.

as above

no time paradox for you!

we already have the double vader and even double luke (double lando, han, and soon double boba and dengar) paradoxes in X-wing miniatures; they're handled in the exact same way

Unless you take the Timey Wimey upgrade in your sonic slot, than you can use as many Vaders as you want.

This isn't the clone wars, so no.

Also you wouldn't want to clone Anakin during the clone wars, anyway.

In game terms, no.

In flavor terms, you can always imagine Vader flying the TIEx1 while giving out orders as admiral using a holo of himself. When the TIE blows up, you'd need to remove Vader as commander though.

or he could be remote piloting the fighter from the bridge of the command ship :D
