Ship suggestion thread

By Vector, in X-Wing

All about wanting the Rogue Shadow. Ghost will be first expansion to have a unique pilots listed for two ships. Juno is in game now so one can hope. Plus that ship looks awesome.

S&V:

Jabba's Yatch (Epic)

Ugly Y-TIE

If by Jabba's yacht you're referring to the Star Jewel, then yes that would be great.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Jewel

The only problem I can think of is its size. According to ship specifications, the Star Jewel is 160 metres long, compared to the Raider-class corvette which is 150 metres long, and that was a fairly large model. However, if FFG is able to produce the Star Jewel without encountering any problems, I'll be all for it.

The Gozanti is ~41 meters to the transport's 90 meters... I think they can fudge 10 for the Star Jewel/Dragon Pearl.

It'd be great to see introduced to the game some Yuuzhan Vong, Ssi-ruuk and Hapan ships, though, the only problem would be is with what faction they would be represented as. They could be part of the Scum & Villainy faction, however, many players may be adverse to them not being represented in their own individual factions.

I'd like to see three different tier1 (that being GR75/Gozanti sized) huge ships that are literally just AA wagons. Range 1-3 fires twice, whatver 2-3 hardpoints. Just literally anti fighter escorts.

Aside from that NOT ONE OF YOU MENTIONED THE SKIPRAY BLASTBOAT. SHAME <rings bell> SHAME <rings bell> SHAME <rings bell>

The R-41 Starchaser, T-wing, Kimogila / Krayt. Ricky-lake class heavy fighter. (Rickshitytzxx - you know, the bigger one of the Khiraxxzxzx.)

Much as Rebels don't need another large base PWT the Nova courier would be good.

DX-9 stormtrooper transport.

Bonus if FFG can make one scaled to IA... scenery.

...and a partridge in a pear tree.

The Carrion Spike, an Imperial corvette which was the personal starship of Grand Moff Tarkin and later of Captain Terex of the First Order, would be another great addition to the game.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Carrion_Spike

The ship is almost the size of the Imperial Raider so it would be great to have another large ship available for the game, however it could be for use with the First Order with Terex as a pilot card.

Interestingly enough, I believe it is the only ship to make appearances in all three canon eras at this point (unless you count the Falcon cameo in episode III). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd love to see the Carrion Spike, but I think it'd be more likely in Armada.

Both X-Wing and Armada would be suited for the ship. According to sources, the Carrion Spike is just under 150 meters long whilst the Imperial Raider is also 150 meters, which would make the ship acceptable for X-Wing miniatures standards.

True, I'm just saying that I don't foresee getting another Imperial epic ship anytime soon. Scum is up next, and after that we'll have to see if FFG perceives value in continuing to churn out epic ships.

If we do get another round of epic ships for each faction, I'd love to see the Dornean Gunship for rebels.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Braha'tok-class_gunship/Canon

I'd really like to see the Halo as a scum large ship.

There is one ship I wish to see above all others, simply due to its fantastic design (and no, I'm not kidding, I really, really love this ships design).

The rebel Defender... The chances of this making it to the game are pretty much 0%, but hey, a guy can dream.

The Braha'tok-class gunship would be another great addition for the game.

The V-Wing airspeeder was one of my favorite ships in Rogue Squadron because of how fast and powerful it was, however because it's an airspeeder and not sealed for the vaccum of space it wouldn't be suited for X-Wing . Despite this, there is however the V-wing Speeder Transport, Model A which was used to carry 4 V-Wing airspeeders in space and deploy them on the surface.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/V-wing_Speeder_Transport,_Model_A

It would be interesting to see how this ship would play. It could act as a much smaller Rebel support ship in comparison to the GR-75 medium transport.

There was also a Model B of the ship which was a bit longer and could carry up to 6 V-Wing airspeeders, but unfortunately it never appeared in any media apart from being referenced in some source guides.

Another TIE to add for the Rebel Alliance, the Calrissian Runner , a modified TIE Advanced predominantly used for racing.

The ship was used for the Lando's Folly asteroid belt obstacle course. The ship was enhanced with strong repulsor shields and featured improved speed.

They were also used by Anakin, Jacen & Jaina Solo to fight Yuuzhan Vong forces during the Battle of Dubrillion.

Gunboat!!

I want the new (officially Disney Canon via Marvel) version of Jabba's space barge as a scum huge ship. For more information, see my thread:

https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/230397-scum-huge-ship-ideas/

Also, I want a fix for the Scyk that includes tons of new cannons, especially:

Armor piercing laser:
Attack (5 dice, range 1-3):
If this attack hits, the defender suffers one critical damage. Then cancel all dice results.
Cost 6

Antimatter cannon:
Attack (3 dice, range 1-3):
After all dice modifications are made, cancell all (hit) and (critical hit) results. Then change all remaining die results to (hit) results.
Cost 4

Long-range cannon:
Attack (3 dice, range 1-5):
The defender rolls one additional dice against this attack.
Cost 3

Twin laser cannon:
Attack (3 dice, range 2-3):
Perform this attack twice. Each time this attack hits, the defender suffers one critical damage. Then cancel all dice results.
Cost 5

Another ship that could be considered as an epic Scum and Villainy ship is the Blood Brother .

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Brother

985ycx.png

The Blood Brother was a heavily modified Consular III -class cruiser and the main command vessel of the pirate Captain Reddjack and his gang, the Red Fury Brotherhood. Formerly a Republic diplomat ship called the Dura-Khan III , the ship was stolen and renamed by Reddjack and his gang. The group operated prior to the Battle of Yavin and were based around the Cularin system asteroid belt. The ship and its gang made their first appearance in the Marvel/Star Droids comics and later the role-playing supplement Echoes of the Jedi .

The ship's length has never been mentioned in any source material, neither has the length of the Consular III -class cruiser. However, if we were to assume that its length was almost similar to its predecessor model, the Consular -class cruiser, which is 115 meters in length, then we could assume it may be the same.

What if they did as a Comic-Con or any convention exclusive item a Buick fighter.

2n0uj2e.jpg

The Buick was an unlockable playable Starfighter in Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. The car could only be unlocked via a cheat code.

Here's gameplay footage of the Buick in play in Rogue Leader.

For pilots, you could have Luke Skywalker, Wedge Antilles, Gavyn Sykes and Rudy who had all flown the Buick.

A Hutt freighter which would work as an epic Scum ship. It doesn't have any specific class model name but it's just referred to as Borvo the Hutt's freighter.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Borvo_the_Hutt's_freighter

aysi2o.png

2urr13n.jpg

In Legends, the ship was operated by the Hutt crime lord Borvo and his organization, the Nal Raka Criminal Empire, during the time of the Trade Federation's occupation of Naboo. The ship was first seen in the game Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo. Despite the ship not appearing in any media set after Battle for Naboo, it's possible it could've seen use around the time of the Galactic Civil War as Borvo was still active by then.

The ship appeared to have two laser cannons mounted on either of its sides and one underneath. The front half of the ship could also detach when damaged or in need of a fast escape.

Suggested by a user in another thread, the ship could be retconned into one of the Action series class of freighters if it were feasible.

Do not discard missiles upgrades. Because "Hondo always has missiles"

You and me both-this was the personal fighter of choice for a character i had in the Far Star campaign :)
