Max number of squadrons with ISD

By Blinky82, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So I was at a Sullust event last weekend and I overheard some of the guys theory-crafting in regards to a single ISD build which could Squadron Command around 15 squadrons with 1 single Squadron Command dial.

I was in the middle of a game so couldn't concentrate on what they were saying exactly but is this true? I know the ISD has 2 offensive retrofit slots meaning that 2x Expanded Hanger Bays can be equipped but what other upgrades would need to be installed to make this possible? That's if it is at all possible?

Sorry for double post, I also remember them saying that this massive Squadron Command also involved the need to spend a SC token to make this possible.

Not at all possible. For one, you cannot equip 2 of the same Card for starters (so no Double Hangar bays).

Now, if you're talking about it having 15 Squadrons alongside it... Then that's possible, I guess. 133pts, with 8 point TIE Squadrons.

Of course, you're only ever going to be commanding 6 Squadrons at a time with it.

But you could aim to have 6 Squadrons to go with your Command, and then, say, have the other 9 Squadrons try to be Rogue squadrons, I guess...

havn't run the math feasabiilty on that.

Well I guess if you can't have 2 of the same card on a ship then their theory holds no water. I suppose it's never come up until wave 2 as no ships have 2 of the same slot. Next time I see them I'll ask them and report back on what they said. I'm pretty sure they were talking about using regular squadrons though, don't think they were including Rogue Squadrons in this. I could be wrong though.

The best you can have with one ISD is 6 Squadrons activated.

Command 4 (Dial) + 1 (Token) + 1 (Expanded Hangar Bays) = 6

Other upgrades, so far, allow you to activate them at long range instead of medium.

Or, if you're a Rebel, move them at Speed 4 if they don't attack.

But that's it.
