I'm confused as to how something like "Flame Weapon Training (Universal)" works. More to the point, why bother listing it as a categorized Talent if, as the way I understand the text is true, "Universal" works for everything?

Or is it just saying that you can get Flame Weapon Training (any one weapon type)?

Flame Weapon Training (Universal) allows you to use all types of Flame Weapons (Flamer, Hand Flamer, and Heavy Flamer) and is the only type of Flame Weapon Training offered in RT. In DH, Flame was a category found in multiple classes - so you has Basic Weapon Training (Flame) for the Flamer, Pistol Weapon Training (Flame) for the Hand Flamer, and Heavy Weapon Training (Flame) for the Heavy Flamer. I personally like the RT way better since I think a Flamer and a Hand Flamer have more in common than a Flamer and a Lasgun - both of which would be covered under Basic Weapon Training (Universal) if the DH divisions were retained.

Oh, and if it follows the guidelines for the other weapon Talents, there is theoretically a Flame Weapon Training (Primitive) set of weapons not yet written up that would not be covered by Flame Weapon Training (Universal).
