Welp, the ISD trashes Wave 1 Imperials.
Played 2 games, one with a fighter heavy opponent, a Glad and VSD. A turn of long range plinking at the Glad (I think for a grand total of 1 damage) possibly from a VSD, and then it comes into range of an ISD and gets blasted. Like holy crap 9 damage (and an accuracy to lock down the brace). It's gone. (Though it stripped a side shield.) Had to use a defense token for that (Contain) to reroll some, thanks to Vader. VSD gets hammered similarly, and the ISD flies past it, only for it to fly into my VSD. It did not survive the experience.
2nd was fleet ambush. With 2 VSDs and a GSD, and a grand total of 5 fighters between us. (2 Ints vs my Fel & 2 Adv) VSDs and ISDs can fire on turn 1. Things go poorly for his VSDs. Gunnery teams are a must. One of them, under fire by both, blows up in the first round. Last point was the ISD ramming it. Glad comes screaming in and dies turn 2 to bit of combined fire of the ISD and VSD with XI7 turbolasers. My speed with the ISD sends it out of range turn 3, but it flies off the map (Trying to go down fighting) with 1 hp left.
It's not that much tougher than a VSD (a grand total of 2 more shields, 3 hull points, 50% faster and 33% more firepower) but it seems that way, when it can dish out so much damage. It is surprisingly maneuverable, comparatively. The ISD in the second, wouldn't have needed the prior 1 damage on the Glad to kill it. (XI7 is FUN, and basically means you don't have to spend accuracy on the redirects, which can be re-rolled by Vader, once brace is locked down.)
