So my friends and I typically play 3 way casual games and due to time constraints have settled on 70 points as optimal. Once in a while we do a two way battle if one can't make it but just stick to 70 anyways since we've already planned a bunch for that.

I've got Most Wanted, 1 Syck, 2 Kihrax's, 2 starvipers, 1 houndstooth, 1 IG. Chances are I can borrow a HWK or a Firespray from one of my buddies and we're cool with just using yet another xwing builds so I don't need to physically own cards.

I've played around with a number of builds and I've learned a lot since I started playing about half a year ago but I'm always on the lookout for new builds. My two buddies have been playing far longer and while I do get some wins I'm always learning.

So what would you folks suggest for a 70 point build?

How about:

Guri with Veteran Instincts & Autothrusters - 33 points

Xizor with Predator & Autothrusters - 36 points

In a small, casual game, these 2 can out-gun and outmanoeuvre most things. Also they will both be skill 7 so you can choose who to move first.

Xizor w/ VI, virago, FCS & autothrusters = 37

Cartel Marauder = 20

Binayre Pirate or Blacksun Soldier = 12/13

You can shoot first with Razzi and with Bossk you pretty much will always have a TL on the defender. If Guri gets into R1, 4 dice with focus (+ re-roll with predator, or TL or -1 agility from outmanoeuvre) and -1 agility if Razzi spends the TL means a lot of damage!

Thanks, I actually ran a Guri/Talonbane build on Friday. Some bad luck with the dice had talonbane blown out of the water in the second round but guri held on with a similar build to what you have there and won the day. The vet instincts actually saved my ass that fight as it put me above the opponent fights. I'll make sure to give these a shot.
