Some ally questions

By kamenhanji, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

In RRG, page 5, it says Rebel players can deploy an elite ally if they got an ally for second time.

But if they got an unique ally for second time, like Han Solo, who has 2 green side mission cards, do the players get any other benefits for this? Like reduce its cost or bonus health or something.

And another question : the COUNTERPARTS reward card.

This card makes players deploy R2-D2 or C-3PO with no cost as an additional ally. But it says return this card to game box after use it. Does it means I can use it only one time in the entire campaign?

Thanks for the answers. Just got Twin Shadows yesterday, can't wait to play it.

You can not include a green side mission if there is already one included with the same reward. So no second Han mission.

Yes, it is only once per game.

thanks so much for the answer, have a nice day.

Yes, it is only once per game.

Sorry for another question. So, I can't include " Target of opportunity" and "Armored and operational " (both reward Rebel Saboteurs) at same time?

Doesn't like Rebel troopers can be reward in Gideon's personal side mission, so, is that means I am impossible to get an elite Rebel saboteur during a campaign?

thanks for any answers anyway.

Yes. RRG page 17, building the side mission deck.

confirmed, thanks so much

But if you can't have two missions for Saboteurs or Troopers, how do the rebels get the elite versions then? Why would that rule be there that says you get the Elite if get the same reward twice?

You can have two different missions with the same reward. Just not two green (chosen ones).

You can get the rebel troopers from a green side mission AND from Gideons side mission, which is a red card.

It could be possible for a grey side mission to have the saboteurs as rewards. Or they just don't want the elite sabs as possible allys in the game.

So anothers words the Hero players just cannot choose two of the same related ( reward ) missions from the green deck. That makes sense.

Oh - we haven't played with Gideon, and I never actually looked at the mission brief, only his reward card, so I didn't know about the Trooper reward. Makes sense - so basically Elite Troopers is kind of a reward for Gideon (provided the heroes also get the relevant green mission), and thats currently the only elite available to the heroes at this point (if you don't count the uniques).
