X-wing rituals in game play.

I like to cackle, or at least grin, maniacally when a ship is getting pummeled, regardless of whose it is.

I think I talk to my ships.

Last night, the top half of my ship carrier fell all the way back so that the ships inside were tossed around. I immediately pulled it back to right-side up, opened that compartment and said, "Are you guys alright?!" as I shifted them back to their normal positions. One of the guys nearby said, "Did he just talk to his ships?"

That was the first time I know of that I've talked to my ships, but it was also the first time someone pointed it out, so it may be that I always talk to my ships and just don't notice it.

Not a thing wrong with this. I talk to all my inanimate objects. They respond, too!

I never thought about it, but I guess I have rituals when it comes to rolling the dice.

I always shake the dice a lot in my hands, but make it a point to minimize rolling on the table. I do this by either slapping the dice from my hands upon the table (only if there is a separate place for me to do this so I don't rough around the ships), or I cup my hands (with the dice shaking around in them) against the table to keep my dice from rolling very far. It seems the further my dice roll, or the longer they roll along the table, the blanker they get, so I try to contain the area they land.

I I'm only rolling 1 die, I always drop it straight down (not from very high, otherwise it'll really roll). I try to never roll my dice across the length of the table.

We refer to the evade icon on green dice as a wiggle. So if someone rolls four natural evades we shout out "the full band"...

At the start of the game, I always sort the maneuver templates in order. They don't always stay that way, but they have to be that way to start.

I have a little toy laser gun keychain that makes pew pew noises when you pull the trigger. Whenever I go to a tournament or play someone for the first time I like to pull it out and set it with my tokens and templates. Then when the first ship of the game dies I pull it out and blast the ship that died. I always get a good chuckle from my opponent- it helps to break the ice a bit and ease the tension. :)

N'dru's cluster missile run is always accompanied by "LEEEEEEEEROOOYYYYY JENNKINS!"

He does better when I say it, I swear to gods.
