Additional Rewards question

By FreakinYoda, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Need a clarification for additional rewards. At the end of a mission, the additional rewards section say:

Each player receives 1 XP. Heros received 100 credits per hero.

If we have 4 heros in game, does this mean we each get 1 XP and 100 credits or 1 XP and 400 credits?

1 xp to all heroes and the Imperial player. 400 credits if you have 4 heroes.

Credits are shared by the group - so the entire group gets 100 credits per hero, so if you have 4 heroes, its 400 credits in total.

Ah. Was hoping for more. Seems like we can't afford any gear.

You have to save up if you want the cool stuff

Did the Rebels win the mission? That usually also throws in either some more XP or credits.

If they're ignoring crates, then that is also costing them a chance at extra money. Crate tokens are worth 50 credits each, and some of the supply cards are worth much more.

there's more than enough money to get cool stuff by the end of the campaign... just a matter of saving up. Also remember that you can sell your starting equipment for 50 credits, and you can sell other equipment for half price. Also it might not always be wise to buy lower tier items unless they really help, because that will leave more cash for higher tear items later.

Don't the heroes normally get 400 credits just for playing?

So if they won, they should be getting 400+400+50 per crate. Seems like more than enough to afford any T1 weapon and a couple of mods.

Does every hero get the bonus of 1 XP and 100 credits? I.e. the 4 heroes get 4 XP and 400 credits and the imperial player gets 1 XP. Is this correct?

The only credits you get are the ones mentioned at the end of the mission (which differs depending on the mission), plus the 50 credits per crate, and any credits based on special supply cards. Not sure where you get the additional 400 from?

XP is per player - so each player gets whatever XP they're awarded, usually skewed in the direction of the winner... so if the Imperial Player wins, he/she might get additional xp, and if the rebels win they might get additional xp, but its individual.

Credits are awarded to the rebels as a group and shared. Its usually awarded in multiples of 100 based on number of players.

So in the example, each player gets 1 xp, but the rebel group in total gets 400 credits to share between them.

Thanks for your answer.

I didn't know about selling equipment. I'll look into that. We are only about 5 missions in. The rebels haven't won the last two. It seems like the imperials are getting some very cool abilities while the rebels aren't. We've gotten a few crates, but not much loot that is high quality. We don't seem to have a lot of time to waste getting crates. The last mission, out of 7 items (mix of tier I and II) to choose from and end of mission, we could only afford 3, even if we had saved up from the start. They were in the 600-900 credit range.

There's a rule under credits somewhere, probably in the Learn to Play booklet, that says you can sell your equipment at half its value. There's an additional rule that says any item you have the doesn't have a value (starting equipment, reward equipment, Biv's items purchased with XP) can be sold for 50 credits.

Also don't forget that for every supply crate you get in a mission, you get 50 credits in addition to whatever the crate holds. So if you're fortunate to pull the valuable goods card, you get 100 credits for the card, plus the 50 credits for having the supply crate at the end of the mission. Going for crates is a perfectly viable strategy during campaign missions. Especially if you know you've already lost the mission, you can spend the last round(s) trying to get supply crates even if solely for the monetary bonus. Going after supply crates in side and forced missions can be less productive because the rewards that are given in those missions are often times better than what you could buy with credits.
