I like playing multiplayer games but dislike playing them with rude idiots who cant get that its 'just a game' and swear at people constantly or get abusive.

On that note, when the PS4 release of SW BF comes out in mid november who on here is up for some *civil* games of the galactic civil war?

Just be nice to have 20 to 40 people who 'sort of' know each other online already and can just enjoy the game without calling each others blue murder or ragequitting or teamkilling

So any other PS4 users up for this?

Im very happy for anyone who prefers a PC/XboxOne/Vic20 but I'm only posting this to find out if anyone fancies joining me for a game so unless you are playing on PS4 im highly unlikely to be swayed by 'my format am bestest'

It's not format is bestest. If i REALLY felt like upgrading my PC rather than buying little star wars toys I would.

But we could almost split this into 3 threads. PC. PS4 and XBONE.

Yeah I know, it's just that different decisions and preferences lead to different platforms. This argument got dull in the SNES Vs Mega Drive (Genesis for you yanks) days. Anyone however who says that a Mac is better than a PC deserves to be /begin frothing at mouth rant [15 lines of heretical and obscene content redacted] WITH A FROZEN CHICKEN.

Well that was an awesome remake 70% bigger than the original and really nailed the atmosphere.

Also rogue squadron two was amazing and eternal darkness.

I remember eternal darkness, awesome game with lovecraftian tones.

I played that a lot. And skateboarding games and 'worms' , i dont think i bought much else for it though.

Only got rid of it a few months back, went for more than i thought on ebay, must be getting into that 'retro console' demographic already

My first computer was a Vic20, then a 128k spectrum, then an atari ST, then an amiga. I think i got a PC and a playstation around the same time (94/95?) and gamed on both.

Then stuck to PC gaming until about 2005 when i got a PS2 and found it loads less hassle.

These days my PC is really for work and forums like this, it can just about run 'tiefighter' from the 90s as i use it to write on and manage the social media for my magazine and edit photography. As its a laptop its not exactly easy to keep upgrading it for games so i stick to consoles. Had an xbox360 for the last few years, jumped ship to PS4 recently because most my mates have one so its a better option for me for joining in games and swapping titles.

The only thing i liked about macs was that i used to work in magazine and sci fi publishing with one (GWs black library) and they are better that PCs for stuff like that.

Also if you like watching 'grown up videos' they dont tend to attract virus's that easily, or so i've heard

The only thing I like about macs is the sound they make when they meet a particularly large hammer.

Command & Conquer was good too, had all those old games. PC gaming in the 90s was a joy & privilege that later generations will never truly understand.

Even adventures had humour. I like 'beneath a steel sky' back in the day.

We've not mentioned 'dark forces' yet.. i think i lost about a month of my life locked in my room playing that, only leaving to grab a sandwich and go the loo!

Dark Forces & Jedi knight both fantastic, added a lot to the lore too. Drommund Kaas, the imperial capital of the old republic era made it's first appearance in MOTS.

Also, that little series of games called the X-wing series might require a mention...

PS4 here and I'm down. Downloading the battlefront beta as I type this. Can't wait!
