Here's a thread for you to post good, simple combos - that are for some reason, just not used so much, perhaps because there's a more efficient combo out there - or maybe it's just overlooked or not thought of as it's not the HOTNESS.
As fun as Daredevil btl-a4 TLT r2-d6 horton salm is - it lacks the efficiency of Tarn mison + R7, though that's a far more popular combination than some of the following - and hopefully some new gems that we can learn from collaboration!
Simple Underappreciated Combos!
Nightbeast + Twin Ion Engine MkII
Mauler Mithel + Lone Wolf
Advanced Proton Torp + Ion Pulse Missile
Guri + Advanced Proton Torpedo
Leeachos + Deadeye
IG-88C + Enhanced Scopes.
Blue Ace + R7-T1
Jan Ors + Wired
Underappreciated Combos
r4 agro + ordnance. Works very well on low ps. First you will have a way to modify the first attack (focus) and set up a TL for next round. Then next round focus again. You now have both focus and TL (although in the wrong order) to modify the ordnance attack.
Blue Ace + R7-T1 looks really fun. Kind of a pseudo PTL on him. Guri and APT sadly is a point trap.
My favourite combo that no one talks about anymore is Torkil + ships with Predator.
Maarek + Adv. Homing + ATC
Juno + PTL & MK II Engine
Colzet Adv Homing
Wedge bb-8 Outmaneuver
Advanced Proton Torp + Ion Pulse Missile
Do you mean like this:
Cutlass Squadron Pilot (34)
TIE Punisher (21), Fire-Control System (2), Advanced Proton Torpedoes (6), Extra Munitions (2), Ion Pulse Missiles (3)

I think you mean Kavil deadeye r4. Hes the only one to be able to spend focus to shoot torpedoes and get free target lock. Proton works best as still has a focus modifier. Still waiting on Dengar for deadeye recon apt!
Blue ace with BB8 is also very fun
Poe, BB-8, PTL, weapons guidance, and a proton torpedo.
Take the lock and a focus for no stress, fire the torpedo. The torp gives you one eyeball to a crit, poe's abilty can flip another eyeball, and weapons guidance can fix a blank.
That's 3 non hits to hits in one shot.
Nightbeast + Twin Ion Engine MkII
One of my faves ^^
I don't know if these are necessarily under-appreciated, but they're combo's I like that I either don't read about, or haven't read about in a while.
Buzzsaw shuttle
Gunner Deci-Vader
Whisper w SJ/Lone Wolf
YV-666 Maneuvering Fins/Navigator (Bossk-tigator?)
IG w SJ/Lone Wolf
Garven + Horton Dutch
Ibtisam w SJ/Elusiveness
Edited by RividiusMajor Rhymer (41)
TIE Bomber (26), Advanced Proton Torpedoes (6), Extra Munitions (2), Ion Pulse Missiles (3), Push the Limit (3), Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)
EXPENSIVE!
Counter Measures + Proton Rocket
One I've had fun with lately is Predator + Cluster Missiles + Glitterstim.
Yorr with Advanced Sensors and Fleet Officer. Fantastic with non-Fel interceptors.
Love the thread idea! Also Jan Ors + Wired is something I can't wait to test exhaustively, giving her TLT and a PS8-9 buddy or two. It's almost as good as Lone Wolf without interfering with her pilot ability (synergising with it quite well, actually).
I'm still trying to convince people Wired + Glitterstim is worth it for the turn or two after you pop your Stim.
Major Rhymer + Adv. Homing Missiles. Range 1-3!
Tie/fo Omega Squadron with Predator. They are best in a group of three. You have no Howlrunner leash problem and three of them shred a PS 2 Y-Wing. They are easy to fly in a pinwheel.
I have read all the posts and mathwing on how the Tie/fo is to costly but so far in game play they have been great. The 2 Sengor Loop has been fantastic at reversing and staying out of arc. Back three of these with three Omega Ties and you can do very well against most meta lists.

I fully admit that I'm one of those who underestimated the TIE/fo when I first saw them. In practice, they're the old TIE Advanced with a better dial and a lower cost. Omega Ace with PTL can focus and evade, which gives it the same single-turn durability as a naked Storm Squadron Pilot with a focus token.
Another unexpectedly disgusting combo was PTL and Engine Upgrade on Zeta Ace. In a match against him, he was facing away from me, unstressed, and I figured I was safe for at least a turn as he would have to Segnor's and clear stress to get after me. Instead, the pilot did a hard 1, followed by a boost, followed by that crazy speed 2 Barrel Roll, and had me dead to rights.
I couldn't even be mad about it, because it was so cool.
havn't seen any other
Redline (FCS, Clusters, Plasmas, Munis) [38, take thrusters to 40]
so I'll toss that in
It's a glass cannon (so protect it with a mini-swarm, using it to block enemies to deny actions and keep them in arc) that absolutely wrecks any high value target.
wracking up a kill count of Wedges, Poes, Whispers, a Soontir, a Bossk, few Y-wings (mainly Horton), and some Bs
havn't run into a fat PWT in a while, which I am infinetly grateful for, but if one did show its unwanted ass on my tabletop you can bet Redline would be up to task
Edited by ficklegreendicePhantomFO I just did the Zeta Ace move you described on my gaming table. You cannot really appreciate it until you see it in real life, Wow.

Does this do what I think it does? It sounds like you end up behind your starting position.
Major Rhymer + Adv. Homing Missiles. Range 1-3!
I ran a 38 point Rhymer using this at XWing night once. It was scary.

I ran this with Colzet+FCS and Whisper+intel agent, VI, FCS, and ACD. It was a ton of fun!

AHM Rhymer made me immediately think of FCS Colzet, glad it worked out! 40-point Whisper isn't bad at all but I might sub in Redline instead for PS7 sync and an ordnance theme.
Han Solo+Recon Specialist+Jan Ors- each time you do a focus, you get a free evade token (with Push the Limit and the Millennium Falcon title, you can get 1 focus + 2 evades!)
