Deciding between two lists

By HanShotFirst88, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hello all, newer player here (usually play X-Wing) going to an event this weekend and I wanted to get some opinions on two lists I am thinking about:

List 1-

Vic 1 w/ Screed (99)

Vic 1 (73)

Glad 1 w/ ACM (63)

Glad 1 w/ ACM (63)

Total 298

********************************

List 2-

Vic 1 w/ Screed, Weapons Liaison, Gunnery Team, ACM (116)

Glad 1 w/ Demolisher, ACM (73)

Glad 1 w/ Insidious, ACM (66)

Rhymer (16)

Bomber (9)

TIE Advanced (12)

Total 292

I feel like its a waste to put so few squadrons in, so I am leaning towards the first one but I also don't like having naked or near naked ships. Any thoughts?

Anyone?

List 1 definitely. For squadrons I feel that its either go big or go home.

I would actually go with list two. I feel too many squadrons are a waste, unless you are in a bomber heavy meta.

I a similar list at Sullust and was very successful.

Mine was:

Vic 1: Screed, Warlord, H9-Turbolasers

Glad 1: Demolisher, ACM

Glad 1: ACM

Rhymer

Bomber

Bomber

Advanced

Dont take offense but I totally disagree with this statement. "I feel too many squadrons are a waste, unless you are in a bomber heavy meta."

I ran a two ship heavy squadron build at my Sullust even and won the whole thing. I fought lists like number 1 and I fought heavy squadron builds and beat both handily. In the right hands (currently) heavy squadron builds can dominate. I dont think heavy squadron builds will be very viable in Wave 2 but smaller ones will be almost mandatory.

What about dropping the second Vic 1 in List 1 to a third Glad 1 w/ Demolisher and ACM? It would end up the same points. Or if I selected List 2, somehow making room for a Vic 2 instead of a Vic 1 by dropping the ACM on it? That way I don't need to get close with the Vic to be effective.

That configuration (or very close to it) has been very successful in tournaments but it takes some finesse to fly it.
