hey people,
Does block 4 have a consistant chance of smashing through block 3 defenses (Amy assistance and stuff)?

ok, get the 2nd turn kill or you definitely won't be stunning enough to matter

You mean a deck full of stun that will get wrecked by Blood Runs True and the Red Lotuses protecting them?

Which means banking on Phoenix Smasher (hey if you're using Paul... why not?)
Which means banking on the fact that that enhance will get negated/Holding Ground'd/etc.

Cause that's his worst punch
Im with shaneth on this... phoeni smasher is his worse punch.
I have an all paul deck and I don't use it. How much power do you get from the combo e:? maybe 4-5 after tapping 2 foundations???
Not sure if it's worth it... I'd rather use turn thruster... it's easier to play and it has matches paul for PotM.

So does the Smasher last I checked but I'm not a Paul expert.
Honestly the character Combos have failed this time around... and failed badly. Anyone running the DDT with the Combo? The Smasher? The Lightning Uppercut (when I ran Kazuya, I did, and it worked decent but it's bad when "decent" is the only good character Combo).
I don't believe in any Paul deck without Turn Thruster , to be honest. But yeah, I've been thinking that Hammer of the Gods trumps Phoenix Smasher because of sheer flexibility, without losing all that much power. It's a great leadoff hit, it can finish fights, and it has no dependency on anything else to make it go, except, ya know, a foundation in hand.

The intent with the Smasher, I thought, was always HotG into TT into Smasher. From a design standpoint, of course.
Wtf? Wow, I guess nobody here ever Wheel Kicked their way into a Phoenix Smasher? =/
But really, it doesn't matter; once tapped, Paul's got somethin that's gonna GRROOOOOOIIIIYYYYAAAH!

Seen it happen. The Smasher gets stopped easy.
Not only that, but drawing more than 1 Smasher in a turn just BLOWS, especially when you don't draw any other attacks and FT gets canceled T_T...
I'll probably run them both, since it's easy to make the room for them, but if I gotta pick one, the Smasher will probably be the one to go...
