What is the difference between Guri and Poe?

Think you are referring to the post I made.

Lets compare the two.

Poe w/ PtL, BB8, Autothrusters - 38 pts - PS8

Guri w/ PtL, Stygium Particle Accelerator, Virago Title, Cloaking Device and Adv.Sensors. - 41 pts - PS5

Firstly, Poe is cheaper.

Poe has a higher native PS meaning his ability to react to the changing field is greater than what Guri can at PS5.

In order for Guri to FULLY activate the combo, she must begin the turn unstressed, plot in a very restricted green move, hope the cloaking device doesn't fizz out AND finish within range 1 of at least one enemy ship (ability). That is a pretty tall order, especially when going against Dash, Corran, any of the four main Interceptor pilots, Vader or any Aggressor, which I think we can all safely say are top tier lists and all can out fly a PS5 Guri whose only turns are coming from a one bank and then a boost, which she is going to do.

Also, you have to actually remember Guri's ability and ensure you don't miss the chance to use it. I have been in way too many events and seen people who, once they have moved their PS9 pilot, pick up their red dice, nominate a target (most of the time Guri) and then roll before the Guri player has even remembered that there is not a focus next to her. Its shocking how many times it dawns on them when they try to spend a focus they SHOULD of had to save her, alas, missed opportunity ruling comes into play and Guri goes boom. Poe doesn't have that problem.

So even though they will both most likely be locking in the same moves, Poe, with his ability and AT, is just more reliable, gets more use out of his ability and upgrades and doesn't run the risk of suddenly losing four points of upgrades on a single roll of a die. The fact he has three shields as opposed to one means he is less likely to take a crippling critical early on.

Poe is just better in most instances and I have tried (countless events, two store, one regional and one national championship) to play Guri with PtL and I honestly can tell you, it is not as good as VI.

Can we please keep Episode 7 spoiler information off this forum until December? Or at least use the spoiler tags and clearly mark it.

That's not an Episode 7 spoiler, it's a Star Wars: Shattered Empire comic book spoiler. And it's not entirely accurate, either.
