Wow...10 weeks...
If we knew what boats to track, we could use http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/
When I ordered by FJ cruiser years ago Toyota gave me a link to track it across the Pacific on the ship, was fun. Of course it sat for 3 weeks in a logjam at port of LA.
I doubt FFG even knows what boat their stuff is on though.
Oh wow that's gonna arrive faster than I original thought then.
I think there was some kind of release logjam obviously, but it does also feel like they're clearing the decks a bit. Makes me wonder if they aren't trying to get stuff out the door to start freeing up resources for developing product for the new timeline and stories going forward.
I'm hoping for an Edge career book announcement now.

That would prove interesting. Granted I'm still of the opinion that they aren't but you never know. With the way they don't announce a book till it's pretty much done I am very curious about just how many projects they are finishing up right now.

We are definitely due.
Chronicles of the Gatekeeper just arrived here.
And I just got notified that Strongholds of Resistance should be arriving early next week!
I did get both Strongholds and Chronicles this week, color me overjoyed! Hopefully Pirates arrives before my journey across the continent.
I got strongholds in my hands. Mask of the Pirate queen is shipping. Lead by example is on the boat. As is the Guardians source book. Guardians went on the boat on October 14 and Lead by example just went on the boat. SO maybe if we are lucky in December we will get the Guardians book. If not January looks like 2 books. And we have Nexus in developement which means it will probably start printing soon. So maybe Feb.
Wish I knew what the deal is with the last 2 career books for edge. would have thought we would have seen at least one by now.
Yes, just referring to the SWRPG stuff. My wallet cannot support any of their other lines.
I sold some of my original Star Wars toys at auction... they were collecting dust at my folks house - 12" Luke and C3PO, boxed xwing and boxed imperial troop carrier... and TBH I think auctioning SW stuff to buy more SW stuff is a good idea! I had forgotten about the 12" figures for years anyway,

FFG have got what.. 9 SW lines going? .. the RPG's have a slight crossover of writing staff, after a glance of all three Credits pages... soooo, that means that each setting doesn't have a dedicated team but means more consistency in writing and setting style. but yeah... those 2 splatbooks would be nice.. give players all options first, then release setting/adventure material for each Line.
Just my 2 pences

I think the GMs need love too. After all with out them we have nothing. Just would have thought the age career books would not be in danger of outpacing the edge career books...

They aren't though, I mean, it may seem that way since there are what 4(Hired Gun, Smuggler, Explorer, Colonist) EotE Career splat books out. There are only 2 currently released for AoR, with a third being "On the Boat". With the current swarm of releases now that the dockworkers strike has been resolved it has given the community a false sense of timing. I don't think we'll see a change of Lead by Example's status until late November, and then a release in early (first two weeks) of december. We will be getting back to a more normalized schedule of announcements and releases, it just feels like everything is coming out at once right now because the pipeline was clogged and it is now unclogged.
I think we'll also see a slew of new announcements come Thanksgiving, and one of those is definitely going to be a EotE career book, my money being on the Technician, we won't see Bounty Hunter book until Q4 next year. I also think we'll see another AoR "Sector" book before we see another career book after looking at the release schedule for EotE.
So in summary, No the EotE Career splatbooks are not in any danger of being overtaken by the AoR career books. It only looks that way.

Right. But we have 3 age Career books. And no announced 5 Edge book. Until we see an announcement we won't know. We are currently 4/3/1
Lead by Example is still On the Boat, which even without the previous delay in shipping was anywhere from 3-6 weeks. You are counting your chickens before they hatch, nobody has access to LbE so there is no reason to count it as a career book until it is available. They have several weeks to announce a new slew of books, which trust me, its coming. Their release patterns so far mean the next Edge book is going to be a career book. And I'm not saying I'm Nostradamus but
Mask of the Pirate Queen Last Updated: 11/8/15. Somebody get the phone! Cause I ******* called it.
2 weeks? Give or take, its a very nebulous number depending on how far they are shipping out to stores. I haven't really payed attention before as I haven't ever had to. Gatekeeper will probably be a good measuring stick.Anyone know what the usual lag time is for the product to be available in their online store? I've got some store credit with FFG I need to use up...
Who wants to bet Mask of the Pirate Queen gets bumped to shipping on the 8th?
Also my other predictions about release dates and marketing have been pretty spot on.
Edited by BigSpoonI suspect that the next career book for EotE will be Bounty Hunter. Not necessarly because it's more popular or anything, but I noticed that the Guardian book will have some item crafting in it, The Technician book, when it arrives, will almost certainly have something for those with the Inventor talent as will probably the Engineer book for AoR. I'm hazarding a guess that FFG will want to get all their item-crafting ducks in a neat row before launching any of these books.

I've kind of been assuming the opposite - since there is likely to be a lot of overlap between the Technician and Engineer books, I figured they would want to space them out from one another. At this point, the most spacing would be Technician next for EotE and Engineer last for AoR.

I can see them spacing the Technician book out to be a bit further so that they have time to look over feedback from the item creation stuff in the Guardian book. It would be smart to do Bounty Hunter now and wait to see what people want out of item creation once they've had a chance to look over making armor and stuff.
My need for the Bounty Hunter sourcebook is strong.
