I've seen this mentioned before but I think the last time I personally saw it has been a few months. I played massing at sullust last night and it was a good time. I also had a chance to play in the imdaar alpha event a while back (a WHILE back.) This isn't me complaining or telling FFG how to run the company that they are doing wonderful things with I'm just putting it out there that I had a fun time and would like to see this kind of event return to X-wing as it is always enjoyable and brings different communities that don't see each other often together. If you'd like to see more events structured like Sullust and Imdaar let them know! They are obviously listening (See X-wing, TIE advanced,Y-wing [maybe a little overdone], Fat Turrets, Pre-fix Phantoms, and the C-3PO give away card) so let them know you enjoy these events and want more of them.
