Need ideas to make campaign fun

By Soontirbeblownup, in Imperial Assault Campaign

So, lately I've been playing a campaign as imperial player, the rebel players consist of 2 "win at all costs" type players where I'm more trying to get squads that are nice and fluffy and fit the mission.

We also had expediated XP from the twin shadows campaign in a main campaign (don't do it, can't touch the rebels after 3 missions) They have Chewie and although I've got IG, I didn't seem to have opportunity to get him on the board.

So how can I make this campaign a little bit fun for me when honestly it's depressing and dull at the minute

Did you increased threat level to match the upgraded heroes?

Don't play with win at all costs type players? They suck the life out of everything fun.

Either talk to your players and tell them that you are not having fun with the conflicting play styles and try to find a middle ground where both sides have fun, or change your game and play the efficiency oriented, WAAC Imperial. Clog avenues, stun and bleed, and focus fire until your rebels are begging for mercy.

Also, do not accelerate their xp unless you are also accelerating your own xp and influence and giving yourself more threat to compensate for the bigger, badder rebels, or don't use the mini campaign's acceleration in a main campaign. The balance works as is within the campaigns.

However you deal with your issues, I hope it works out for you. I know firsthand the pain of seeing a campaign die and I'd hate to see it happen to others.

Play the next campaign according to the rules and with 4 rebel heroes (controlled by 2 players).

Chose the Subversive Tactics Imperial Class Deck.

Thanks for advice, Threat Level wasn't increased can't think why now but would have made things easier.

I've agreed with the non-win at all costs player that I sneak xp and influence on there to see if others notice. If that doesn't improve things we'll kill the campaign and start again
