any good options for Jan Ors right now?

lists with the queen of buffing other ships plz? i flew her a lot pre TLT and she should be even more viable now.

Wired, engine, Kyle (or Nien), TLT

I'm hoping to try her alongside both Miranda Doni and Poe Dameron soon, but my main issue with Jan has always been that she runs so expensive. With the Miranda build I think she comes out to something like 37 points, with TLT, Engine, Wired, and Nien (fastest HWK I've ever seen haha). Both other Aces are PS8 so Jan can buff first, fuel Wired, and attack and defend with dice modifiers. Lone Wolf and Predator would also be solid options for helping Jan modify dice without taking actions, but the thing about Jan's ability is that you're trying to drop stress every turn with a HWK dial. I like the Engine/Nien combo for that, even though other crew would offer better actionless options turn-to-turn (Kyle is a good buy there).

First attack with Wes Janson, then buff the second attacker with Jan Ors.

Outrider with Auto Blaster. Get close and personal to those TLT Y-Wings. Jan Ors.

Wait for the Ghost. Buy the Ghost. Jan Ors.

"Hobbie" Klivian with R3-A2. Jan Ors.

Wedge with PTL and BB8

Jan Ors with TLT and Wired

Another PS8-9 Pilot (Poe, Tycho/Jake with Prockets etc.)

There is some wiggle room for personal preferences..

Wedge is killing ships alone him removing dice from opponent and gaining dice itself from Jan Ors.. I played Wedge with crackshot too for maximum damage (before I got hands on BB8)

I haven't had any significant problems with Jan without EU to keep her out of harm. Well sure they may go at her, but then you can just skirt at the sides, shooting with your TLT and boost attack dice at range 3.. and same time Wedge is doing his job freely. Sure they may go at Wedge first, then Jan Ors gets more TLT shots and gets to boost damage even more :)

Tried this with Blue Ace (EPT droid + predator, AT etc.) but problem is that when Wedge is destroyed, Jan Ors' Wired gets pretty useless though, because Ace shoots after Jan Ors so she doesn't get to stress herself.

It is only 1p "wasted" though so it isn't that big of a deal.

Jan Ors is also great in Epic as she can boost the CR-90's dice pretty high.

Jan Ors can also boost ordnance even one point higher.

Jan Ors does not have to take a TLT to be effective, thus keeping her points down.

Pair with Miranda equipped with Homing Missiles and you get a 6 dice first attack with target lock ;)

yeah 6d is nice, but thats all way too gimmicky for my taste. i want a solid list, that can dish out damage consistently. i used to run her with moldy crow, rec spec, blaster turret, vi and the whole shebang combined with either fat dash or fat han. TLT makes that a no go. I also ran her trimmed down with 4 GSPs once. that was a brutal list and played very differently.

i don't know what i really want from her. she's so hard to justify putting points into, imho. but i love sowing up with stuff for her. with rec spec, title and her own two green dice she can live longer than one would expect, but its just so expensive.

Crack Shot Wedge plays well with Jan.

There are ways to make ordnance more reliable. Just look at Horton Salm or the dozen of other ways you can get a TL and a Focus for the first turn. 6 dice is a way to you can either smash Soontir Fel or TLT's.

Honestly? The TLT makes Moldy Crow and RecSpec kind of a waste. You're really not going to need to have a Focus for both shots, you get pretty solid results just by throwing dice at things. I think being able to Boost makes her not only harder to pin down, but helps you really take advantage of all that PS you're paying for. It's her ability that's so limiting, since you're dropping a stress every turn in order to use it.

I think PtL/VI Jake Farrell can really utilise Jan's ability quite well. All of a sudden he's giving Fel a run for his money! I like Wired on Jan to save points but Lone Wolf works well too, and you can still buff someone at Range 3 and get your LW rerolls, stressed or no.

I think you have to go hole hog with her or don't bother. I have ran this before and its surprisingly effective:

The Modly title allows you to keep a focus or two always stacked for decent defense modification and to make the TLT more accurate. The 5 dice HLC tears things apart. Jan Ors can be quite tanky since you can keep her at range 3 and still contribute to the battle. Also, the 4 green straight and boost can really throw your opponent off. It takes some proper planning to fly right, but it can be a nasty list. Ironically a 4 TLT will likely run you off the table.

I actually do like the Moldy, Predator, and Rec Spec combo running a TLT. It makes the turret terrifyingly accurate. Its rare that you roll less that 3 hits, so against 3 agility targets it can be quite effective at actually hitting them. Against 2 and 1 agility targets, well they just take 2 hits. Also that load of focus can help your green dice out.

I'm a big fan of this list:

6 dice homing (with TL and F) at R2-3, then a 4 dice Auto blaster turret at range 1. Yes please! As for Jan, pred+blaster+kyle and the ability to stress yourself each turn makes her highly effective even while bumping.

The thing is, Jan Ors is from the old waves. For me, the cost efficiency was not that balanced compared to newer waves. For example, between the second ace pilot (Kyle Katarn) and Jan Ors are 4 (!) points difference (same thing with the TIE bomber). Thats too much for me. Furthermore, generics have 16 points, Jan Ors has 25. Thats 9 points difference for one extra attack die under stress. I like his ability, but for this points...

I want to do this so much with an Autoblaster Turret Miranda. You pound out 6 dice on the way in, then hit them with 4-dice ABTs once they get close. Wishful thinking says I'll still have shields to feed her ability after two turns.
