So much stuff to choose from...WHAT TO BUY NEXT?!

I can't hardly decide what to get. I'm thinking this Friday I'm going to order some new ships. I've got a few thoughts:

- Rebel Aces and Imperial Aces: I really want to get Jake, plus I don't have any A-wings or B-wings yet. As for the Imps, I want the bloodstripe TIE for Fel and the Royal Guard TIE is cool as ice.

- Most Wanted + a Scyk and/or Kihraxz: I have no scum yet. I already have the Rebel Z-95 and Y-wing, but I love the new paint jobs, plus the Z-95 is one of my favorites. As a fan of Star Wars Galaxies, I love the Scyk and Kihraxz.

- Something else: Probably a TIE Defender, TIE Advanced, A-wing, and B-wing. Or a TIE bomber. Maybe an E-wing. The Firespray looks cool too. There's always the shuttle. Or...

These are the thoughts in my head.

Wow, we REALLY weren't paying attention.

I highly recommend reading the rules after every game session for the first several sessions. When you have more play time, you have more context for understanding the rules as written.

For the _longest_ time I thought crits cancelled first.

I'd hold off on the Advanced until you get the Raider. The Advanced is now an amazing ship, but running it without the title card makes it kind of blah.

(Also! The Raider is amazing, and Epic X-Wing is a super fun way to spend an evening with friends and loved ones.)

Rebel Aces is a great pack for getting your first A-Wing and B-Wing.

The Imperial Aces pack is phenomenal if you're a fan of Squints.

The shuttle is an underated ship, but I heart it.

My strong advice is to plan on buying everything (because you will...), but set limits on how many you will get of any one thing. For instance: I get Imperials in groups of 3 and Rebels and Scum in groups of 2. (I have 4 of most Rebel and Scum ships. And 3 of most Imperial ships. *coughs* I may have 9 TIE Interceptors)

(I limit myself to 2 large ships, total.)

Knowing that I want to buy specific quantities lets me wait for sales, or just hold off on something I can't quite afford.

So! As much as I love the Scum- and recommend them- I think you'll get more utility out of Most Wanted when you own a few more ships. For instance: I'd get the Firespray first. And the HWK 290. And a TIE Bomber- less because it is has utility to the Scum and more because the bomb options the TIE Bomber has are amazing on certain Scum pilots.

Thanks for the thoughts. I think I'll probably go with the Aces packs. Sometime I'll get a second Imperial Aces pack. I want 2 of the Royal Guard squints. I thought it would be a neat scenario to run Kir Kanos and Carnor Jax protecting a shuttle with the Emperor (plus it would just look cool).

I know I'll eventually get at least one of each. Heck, I've already put nearly every single ship on my Amazon wish list for Christmas. :-)
