Sadly they removed that option last year we don't know why, used to be you make 1k posts and you could pick a title.

My guess is that they added it shortly before they took it away. Someone would've noticed it much sooner if it was there the whole time I'm sure.

I'm also sure someone made a title with racial slurs, obscenities or other such and FFG decided it just wasn't worth the time to moderate it.

Someone also posted that it was 1000 posts to unlock it. The period spam posts (posting nothing but a period) that followed that announcement became quite annoying.

I was lucky enough to get in in time. Cubanboy got it the worst. He was trying to hold a forum vote for his member title.

Yep, I'd just cracked 990 or 992 when it was withdrawn. As Sergovan said, Cubanboy hit 1000 and decided to let the community decide so he set it to "Pending Forum Submission", and that's what it was when they locked it out.

annoying at the time, dont think i gave it a second thought a minute later
