The "grit" and "heavy" keywords

By Tetrarch, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hi there,

i have a question to the new wave.

The keyword "heavy" states, that you dont prevent ships fro moving whlie engaged. This implicates, that heavy ships do engage (but with no effect to movement).

The keyword "grit" states, that you are not prevented from moving while engaged by only 1 squadron.

So what if two sqadrons, of wich 1 has the "heavy" keyword and the other one has not, are both engaged with a ship with the keyword "grit"?

I see 3 possibilities...

- Can i say the "heavy" ship is the first ship, and the other one is the second and preventing the movement of a "grit" ship?

- Or, is the other ship the first ship and the heavy is the second, and "heavy" doesnt prevent movement?

- I would say, that there ist no first or second ship, but just the number ist important, so it is 2 ships and the "grit" ship can not move. But i m not sure...

Thanks in advance

Greetings

RAW there is no "first" or "second" squad. Grit intruduces an exception to the engegement-status preventing movement. The condition for it to trigger is if you are engaged by only one squadron. In your example, you are engaged by two squadrons, so the condition for the "grit" exception to trigger is not meet.

So if engeged by two suqdrons, a "Grit" squad can not move even if one of the other squads have heavy. If both do how ever he is free to move, but so would any squad even without Grit.

Yup, I agree. If there are 2 squadrons (instigator counts for this) and 1 of them is Heavy you are engaged by 2 squadrons and thus Grit is turned off.
