Difference between a 'stand up' action and a 'revive' action?

By Dainank, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I am confused as they both seem to do the same thing, though the 'revive' action simply requires another person to do the same thing as a 'stand up' action. Could someone please explain to me exactly what each one does, along with their advantages and disadvantages?

Thank You!

When a hero performs a stand up action on him self, he rolls 2 red dice just like revive. The major difference is that hero that performed the stand up action looses Both his actions. A hero that performs a revive action uses only one of his actions and still has 1 action remaining. The hero that he revived then has both his actions available to use. The major difference is the amount of actions used and loss.

Correct. Essentially, a hero who performs a stand up action is revived, but loses their turn. While a hero who revives another hero only spends one action, and the revived hero still gets to take their turn.

The only exception is if somehow a hero is KO'ed by a trap or something during their turn, and then revived by another hero during the same round. Since the revived hero already spent or lost their actions that round, they do not get to take another turn.
