it beat the quest on the first try.
The strategy is to get rid fast or block (Thror's key) those locations with Time counters.

Yeah, Decl... means Deck...
Love it. I personally appreciate decks that are targeted toward a specific quest instead of just generally good and I must admit I have never thought of using thror's key to blank time location (not sure how I missed it since the key is one of my favorite cards, great against many NM quests). The Antlerred Crown hapens to be one of the quests I struggle with so I will be taking this for a spin soon.
That's a nice deck. Why Saruman though?
Also, how many of us didnt notice that the Time counter didnt refresh? My group won the quest 3 player and we didnt even notice, it felt so hard and felt so dumb afterwards...

Totally happened to me as well. I guess that's what happens when you don't release any cards that DON'T reset their timers until the last pack of a cycle...
When Timers refresh, it's usually indicated on the card (mainly quest cards) to refresh them. I also did not notice that at first!
@Fetacheese : you can use Saruman to block a location with high threat or a location with a very low timer. Since Saruman is discarded at the end of the round, the location comes back into play after the refresh phase, so the location's counter isn't reduced by one.
I guess this deck could also be good against heavy location driven quests, like Emyn Muil, The Long Dark.
